Review: I was contracted thru the photographer via referral from the makeup artist, to do an advertising campaign (shoot) for [redacted] & Co. job as a freelance hair stylist for a rate of $1000/day for a 10 hour day. This was a campaign shoot for [redacted] & Co. The job went 2.5 hours overtime. The CEO of the company as well as the Creative director of said company were at the shoot all day. When we went into overtime, we were told we would be paid OT.

All went well day of shoot, no complaints were made all day long. Once we wrapped our work day, [redacted], creative director handed me a business card and said to send invoice to him and I could go by the following week and pick up check. I invoiced the following morning stating they could send it to me in the mail. The makeup artist, who had

same day rate/invoice total, was paid in full within a couple of weeks. I have not been paid. It is now past 60 days. The fashion stylist and photographer (and his entire team of assistants and producers) have yet to be paid as well. The fashion stylist and I went two days ago to the offices to ask for our checks in person. We then met [redacted], the accountant.

She said [redacted] had been away from the office since we submitted invoices. 2 months total. He had a stack (she demonstrated a 5 inch stack with hand gestures), that [redacted], himself had to approve. The following day I received an email stating that [redacted] approved $500 for me with no overtime payment. That my fee was too much (this is two months after said job and after budget approvals that

happen in order to produce any photoshoot). I replied to [redacted] this invoice was non negotiable. Negotiations are always handled before you accept a job, before date of shoot. Never after job is completed and advertising campaign is in print in the Sept issue of Harper's Bazaar 2013, page 233, to be exact. I have not heard from [redacted], even when I

sent another email asking they handle this invoice and let's get it paid and in the past.Desired Settlement: Payment in full, total of $1375.00 USD for invoice sent for services as hair stylist for the company's advertising campaign. Although my complaint is for and from me only, I would suggest they also pay the fashion stylist and photographer along with his team too.

It was nice talking to you on the phone, attached please find the cancelled check for the payment dated 8/**/2013 and cashed 9/**/2013. The complaint was submitted after she get paid.

We are a large Company with a few hundred vendors and when I receive a bill for $1,375 for a hair done and $575 for a manicure for just 1 model for a day of work is not my priority to present it to the owners for approval after they are being out of the country for 5 weeks and I was on vacation myself.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.

However, [redacted] is mistaken with the dates. I received my check after a week of this complaint. I thank you for your help in giving [redacted] and all at Jacob & co. a push to handle unpaid invoices on this job. Thank you Revdex.com!!! I am grateful for this organization in keeping businesses honest.
