I left voice-mails with Jacobs Auto on May 2nd, the same day my tire came off, after we had it towedIn my voice-mails I said it was obvious this is their mistake and that I trusted them to begin with off good reviews and that I expect them to make this rightJacobs Auto did not call me back, and I had to call them two days later on the 4th of MayI had to keep speaking with the receptionist instead of the ownerAft er speaking with her, I've talked with other Mechanics who have said it would not take months for the tire to come off after Autowise worked on itThey've also said that you are supposed to bleed the brakes when you put new brake lines in, and this requires taking the wheel offAnd as Jacobs is admitting, my tire came off from not torqueing it properly Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: Regards, [redacted]

In April *** ***, a first time customer, brought us her van with a complaint that there was a problem with the brakesShe stated that she had just paid a lot of money to another shop to have a lot of work done & they were not willing to make things rightWe found the problem to
be blown brake linesWe replaced the brake lines from the abs module to the rear proportioning valveAt no time did we have the wheels off nor is it required to have the wheels off to perform such a repairThis is a fact in the auto industry and can be proven if need be The week of May 1st we arrived to our shop to see the van in front of our building with a missing passenger front wheelWe found that the lug studs were brokenWe spoke with *** and informed her normally when we see this it's from not properly torquing the wheelsI explained to her that we did not have the wheels off, but I would call the other shop she had it to on her behalf to see if there was anything they would do to help herI spoke with the other shop and they said they never had the wheels off either and sent me a copy of her repair invoiceI then followed up with *** and explained what I had found outI do sympathize with her situation and offered to do the repair for less than we normally chargeShe agreed to the repair and we proceeded to fix the van on 5/6/On 5/9/I received a call from an insurance company requesting more information because *** had turned in a claimAt no time did *** contact us or express a concern that she felt we were to blame
