Jacquelyn's Salon Reviews (3)

Dear, Mr. [redacted] and Miss [redacted], First, let me start by saying I am so sorry that [redacted] was so upset that she felt she had to go on to the social media and Revdex.com to complain. In 40 years of owning Salons I...

have never received a complaint. We are very proud to have a "Customer is always right" policy in our salon. I ([redacted]) a.k.a. [redacted] spoke to [redacted] on the phone as stated and told her as soon as [redacted] (stylist) was finished with her client she would contact her. I assured her it would be taken care of. I am sending you a copy of the text message Looking at the text message there is a number transposed. It definitely is an oversight on our part and we didn’t realize it until I saw her correct phone number on the complaint.
Message was sent to the wrong person. That is why [redacted] never received a response. Of course this is not [redacted]s fault it is ours. The salon was open that evening until about 9 p.m. or later. If no one answered the phone then a message should have been left on our answering machine. We clean the salon on Sunday morning and check all the messages. As soon as I get in so I can call clients back immediately. There was or has been any messages on the phone from [redacted] since I spoke to her on the phone on July 18th. I have contacted [redacted] for a list of all incoming calls in case I missed it.
Again, I am so sorry [redacted]’s experience with getting her first permanent was unpleasant. [redacted] thought she had responded and was trying to make it right. Hair was processed properly and was in good condition when she left as seen by three stylists that all agreed it was loose curls and not as curly as [redacted] wanted. There is no problem in her going somewhere else and getting the Spiral perm she asked for. Elk Grove stylists offering Spiral perms with her length of hair would charge upwards of $300. [redacted] is an experienced stylist/salon owner and will be refunding $120.00 via postal mail to the address listed in the complaint. The $200 [redacted] is requesting is unreasonable and not warranted. If [redacted] feels her hair is in bad condition, I will personally analyse her hair’s condition and condition as needed, free of charge. Respectfully, [redacted], owner/stylist

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my concern, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Review: I went to the salon on Saturday July 18th 2015. I asked for a spiral perm and showed the picture of what I wanted. The woman said is he could do it. After putting the rods in she put the solution in and left it in for about 15 minutes, then washed out my hair, and put the conditioner in and washed it out. She then took the rods out and started to comb the top of my hair. I told her it looked nothing like what I asked for because it didn't even look curly, just straight and wavy towards the ends a little. But she informed me that it would look how I asked after it dryer and sent me home with wet hair. However when it dried it just looked staging and dead. My hair has some waves toward the ends but is mostly straight and dead. It looks horrible and I either wanted it fixed or a refund. However, after calling then when it dried someone named Jackie said she would call me back in an hour because she was busy, I did explain the situation to her and she said she would get back to me. After not hearing from them for three hours I called back again only to find out they had closed. I kept trying to reach them after the fact as well and I can not get no one to talk to me or call me back. I did previously explain to the stylis every thing that had been done to my hair leading up to the perm and the time frame it had been done in. My hair should not look like this sense I have never had anything diaristic done to my hair before.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund for the services I paid for, which is $120.00 and what I was quoted would take to try and restore my hair which was $200.
