The Century21 agent failed to disclose to us (*** as my spouse and co-owner of the mobile home) that the mobile home she represented for sale on the market, which is located at ***, had illegally installed the water heater: (a). The water heater did not have the right type for mobile home use. (b). Therefore, it did not have the Sunnyvale City Code. (c). Because it was not inspected by the Sunnyvale City government inspector, the platform where the water heater stood was not fire-proof material.
Because she either intentionally did not disclose or didn't have the proper knowledge of the product she represented to sell, since mid of December (when we purchased the house) 2019 and up to Feb 11 2020, my entire families were exposed to fire safety and liability to our neighbors had a fire broke out of the water heater that run on natural gas.
On Feb 11 2020, the less than 2-year old water heater stopped to work. I called its support line at *** with the Model # ***, Serial #***, the service rep. told me that "I have lost the warranty" because the unit should NOT be installed on a mobile home. The support pointed me to see the model's USE & CARE MANUAL where the top-left corner states "WARNING: This water heater is not suitable for use in manufactured (mobile) homes."
I have Low's and Home Depot's plumbers coming in for a quote. They both pointed out that the installation did not comply to City Code and not fire-proof. At that time, I also realized that, for mobile homes' water heater installation, residents need City's permits.
***, the CENTURY 21 Real Estate Alliance, failed to disclose all of the above which might danger my families' life (me, my wife, our son, and a pet).
On Feb 11 2020, I hired Home Depot to re-engineer the entire setting plus installing the right model. The total cost is US$***.

Billing Adjustment *** has to pay us back the entire cost, US$***. Note: *** is currently in a foreign country. She will be back on April 2nd. We already had a phone conversation. She said that she will call us for this matter once she gets back on April 2nd 2020.
