The patients insurance told us they would pay $towards her contacts. When payment was received they only paid $96.00, a difference of $which is the amount she is being billed. Instead of blaming us for the insurance only paying a portion of the benefits, she should be asking her insurance, why are they not paying the full amount of benefits quoted? We had already written off $on the exam and an additional $on her contacts, for the insurance to then tell us we need to write off an additional $on the contacts is ludicrous Why do all patients think it is just fine for the insurance to tell doctors to write off what they don't want to pay so their profit margin stays high but doctors are not allowed to make even a small profit? Again, this is a complaint that should be directed to CIGNA. You pay a premium to them every month, demand that they pay the full amount of your benefit, not try and get around paying by telling doctors they need to write off half of the billed amount. And please do not refer to anyone on my staff as the "older women", that is very demeaning.

I am rejecting this response because:
I have always purchased glasses
there and the pair in question was purchased from their officeI asked for a measurement on the pupil distance on the glasses WE GOT FROM THIER STOREI have her current prescription but they left pupil distance offI want the distance on the glasses my daughter has now that we got from their officeThis should be govon to the patient it's part of the prescription they had to have to make the glassesDoctor duties done in their office include pupil distance so either A they don't measure it or B they do but are more concerned about financial gain and the possibility that we someone has THEIR OWN prescription and they fear we may get a second pairI have always loved the office but I am truly disappointed that financial gain is the main drive for the doctors there and not their patients best interest.

I am rejecting
this response because: My children are the patients for this physician and I am obviously the one that insures my childrenThis is not an insurance issue and if her name is not *** then it's the older lady that does the insurance claimsMartin Eye Clinic is refusing to accept the adjustment that they are contractually obligated to write offI was told that they are not willing to do that because they won't make a profitMy CHILDREN are the patients of this physician's officeI have attached the insurance claim since I'm supposedly not a patient.

We are a doctors officeWe perform doctor dutiesPupillary distance measurements are performed by the optician when fitting glasses.? That is the responsibility of the optical where your glasses are purchased.?

After looking thru our patient base, we have never seen a patient by the name of [redacted]? Also, we do not, nor ever had an employee named “[redacted]”However, this seems like an insurance issue and I encourage Ms[redacted]? to call her insurance company.?
