Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: --------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Revdex.com of Metro Washington DC Date: Mon, Aug 17, at 9:AMSubject: Fwd: Complaint [redacted] To: [redacted] ---------- Forwarded message ----------From: < [redacted] @***.com>Date: Sun, Aug 16, at 7:PMSubject: Complaint [redacted] To: [email protected]: [redacted] RE: Complaint [redacted] Dear [redacted] , I apologize for the lack of a response on my complaint [redacted] against Jads Enterprieses LLC I was not aware the below reply had been made by the company until I received a notice that my complaint was closedI have had over emails from [redacted] during construction of their home and many there after I have responded to all and corrected everything until she sent this complaint to youHinges are now here and will be installed as soon as possibleRoof vent caps that were used for testing have been removedStill waiting for washer for sewer pumpWasher is missing because a plumber she called pulled up pump and lost washerI feel I have been more then accommodating will all of [redacted] s requestsThank You Jad S [redacted] President Jads Enterprises, LLC I know it is past the day period, but I feel I would be remiss if I did not respond to Jad’s reply My response: The only reason he had over emails from me during and after the building process is because we had to constantly monitor what was going on, notify him of mistakes that had been made, things that had not been done, resend emails that were never responded to, etc My husband and I overlooked many things in this whole building process and I only chose to report the issues that were outstanding (roof vents that were never opened, missing door hinges, and a missing sewer pump part) I may have overlooked even these except for the fact that we had been in the house for over months and the roof vents were still not openedJad had noticed this and said he forgot to open them before we ever moved in We had hardly any water in the toilets due to this and I was told on at least occasions that Jad would be by to open them and he never showed up The week of my complaint he told me they would be opened on Wednesday or Thursday They weren't I called again Friday morning and afternoon When Friday business day ended and they still weren’t opened, I made the complaint It was not until he was notified of the complaint that he came by in the evening to finally open them We gave up on getting the hinges that he said were ordered months agoObviously "hinges are now here and will be installed as soon as possible" meant nothing We finally just bought some ourselves which was no big deal, but something we shouldn't have had to do with a brand new house As far as the missing sewer pump washer, the only reason we had to call a plumber in the first place is because our sewer pump alarm went off and we weren’t able to flush the toilets or use water This happened on a Saturday morning and we called Jad all day Saturday with no response He later claimed something happened to his phoneAs a last resort we had to call a plumber (And we ended up having to pay the plumber’s bill for weekend rates) The plumber did not lose the washer Jad had mentioned to both my husband and myself that there was a problem with the washer from the start Still without the use of water, we continued to call him all day Sunday and finally he showed up on Sunday evening At that time he also informed us the pump alarm light was not working either and we still don’t know if it is working to this day Jad did not know what the problem was so he was going to come by with the township sewer man the next day As soon as the township sewer man saw inside the pit, he noticed the valve was not opened properly, which is why we had the whole problem in the first place I would think a builder that had installed sewer pumps in the past would know this At that time Jad again mentioned the missing washer and hetook our manual in order to get the missing part in questionWe want this issue resolved as it is only fair that we have a complete and working system from the start Thank you [redacted] and [redacted]

I apologize for the lack of a response on my complaint [redacted] against  Jads Enterprieses LLC.  I was not aware the below reply had been made by the company until I received a notice that my complaint was closed.
I have had over 100 emails from [redacted] during construction of their home and many there after.  I have responded to all and corrected everything until she sent this complaint to you. Hinges are now here and will be installed as soon as possible. Roof vent caps that were used for testing have been removed. Still waiting for washer for sewer pump. Washer is missing because a plumber she called pulled up pump and lost washer.
I feel I have been more then accommodating will all of [redacted]s requests.

I know it is past the 10 day period, but I feel I would be remiss if I did not respond to Jad’s reply.  
My response:
The only reason he had over 100 emails from me during and after the building process is because we had to constantly monitor what was going on, notify him of mistakes that had been made, things that had not been done, resend emails that were never responded to, etc.  My husband and I overlooked many things in this whole building process and I only chose to report the 3 issues that were outstanding (roof vents that were never opened, missing door hinges, and a missing sewer pump part).  I may have overlooked even these except for the fact that we had been in the house for over 2 months and the roof vents were still not opened. Jad had noticed this and said he forgot to open them before we ever moved in.  We had hardly any water in the toilets due to this and I was told on at least 3 occasions that Jad would be by to open them and he never showed up.  The week of my complaint he told me they would be opened on Wednesday or Thursday.  They weren't.  I called again Friday morning and afternoon.  When Friday business day ended and they still weren’t opened, I made the complaint.  It was not until he was notified of the complaint that he came by in the evening  to finally open them.
 
We gave up on getting the hinges that he said were ordered months ago. Obviously "hinges are now here and will be installed as soon as possible" meant nothing.  We finally just bought some ourselves which was no big deal, but something we shouldn't have had to do with a brand new house.
