I'm not sure if the vehicle in question is a Saturn Ion because there is no information over the vehicle on the customers statement. But I will go based of the invoices from the 22nd of October and the only fuel pump billed is indeed an Saturn Ion. We are not sure why the customer
decided to return the part right away instead of waiting for the vehicle to be completed so we cannot speak about that issue, however when she was informed that she would need another fuel pump she did authorize the purchase after given the priceThe part was purchased at autozone auto parts and we sold her the pump at our price, we did not make any profit of it, in case those are the insinuations. We have been in business for over years and in those years we have made mistakes, but we always take full responsibility for our actions. If one of our employees did in fact cause damage to the fuel tank he would have informed us and we would have simply gone to a recycling center and purchase the part. Spending $out of our pocket on a gas tank would be better than to loose a customer. However my mechanic did not break any gas tank and the reason is because we have a policy of not patching up automotive parts because patches never work, then it would cost us hours of labor to a job. Therefore our policy is to do it once but do it right. The tank the customer purchased was from a junkyard, (recycling center) since she only paid $for the item (Gas tanks are more that $new). We can say we inspected the tank ourselves when we filled it back up with gas. The mechanic leaves the vehicle running once everything is put back together and he inspects for leaks, and if none are found he approves it for release. We do have a month warranty on our labor and the customer was told the gas pump has a one year warranty When customers purchase used parts they take the risk of having something that may or may not work. As she found out the tank only lasted her months. We stand by our warranties and policies

I am rejecting this response because:When I purchased the tank, the tank was fine and in working conditions WITHOUT ANY BLACK GLUE ATTACHED TO ITThis business held my car from a Thursday to a SUNDAY...WHY....because after they CRACKED MY TANK, they knew that they had to allow that glue to dry! I am not filing an issue because of the fuel pump, I am filing an issue because of what they did to my tank AND THEN TRIED TO PATCH IT UP AND PUSHED IT OFF ON ME AS JOB COMPLETED! I have been dealing with this business for over years, and they chose to rip me off this time! ***, you charged me for a job knowing that your guys cracked my tankI am not asking for the entire payment backFor the damage that was done to my tank and because I have had to pay someone else to install ANOTHER tank because of what your guys didI think its only fair that I be compensated for what you didYou charged me $for a job not completed correctly and you CRACKED MY TANK AND TRIED TO GLUE IT TOGETHER!
