Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: The technician from TD Industries was the last person to come out to inspect the unit and gave it a clean bill of healthThe actual conversation that was had with the JAK Services technician was that we had an HVAC certified tech come out and look at the unit and ran some tests and the seller didn't actually know what tests were performedThe technician from JAK services, while testing the unit, looked up at the seller and said "Are you sure they didn't add any refrigerant? Because it's running fine"Why would a technician ask this question if the seller told him there was refrigerant addedThe complaint has merit and has nothing to do with angerThe question still remains that why would a technician do $of repairs on a unit that needs to be replaced? Regards, [redacted]

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: Apparently you are not understanding the complaint or the "story". Nothing has changed from start to finish and there is no reason to state otherwise. The owner of a "reputable" company has attacked our character and integrity as homeowners and customers because we had a complaint. We as consumers are not licensed HVAC technicians and therefore all we have to go on is what a licensed technician tells us. The AC unit in question has had 4 licensed technicians inspect and test it and all 4 (including JAK Services Tech) said that the unit is in good working order. The 1 person who has stated otherwise is the one person who has never actually inspected the unit. There was NO refrigerant added and the TD Industries tech was the last person to inspect the unit 5 days after JAK Services inspected it. After talking to other reputable companies in the last few days I have come to the realization that there were many steps that could have been taken before replacing a faulty unit but none of them were necessary because there is nothing wrong with the 12 year old unit. It is clear that JAK Services is going to slander anyone that questions their practices or how they operate. The bottom line is that in this case, if the technician thought there was an issue with the unit then he should have let the homeowner know before doing any repairs and he should have contacted the business owner to better assess the situation, neither of which happened. Instead the repairs were completed and the homeowners were told the unit is in good standing and then reported the unit as faulty to the business owner. These actions cost us $2,000 off of the selling price of the home and $482 of necessary repairs. I say again, the $482 of repairs were necessary but losing $2,000 off of the selling price was not. Better question is should ask for a refund of $482 or to compensate us with the $2,000 that we lost due to JAK Services actions. We were told 4 times that the unit tested good. How were we trying to pass off a faulty unit and how does that make us in the wrong? All we know is what the HVAC certified techs tell us and we were told by JAK Services that the unit is good. We wonder, if the unit was to be replaced, what company would have replaced the unit? Regards, [redacted]

Your story continues to changeFirst of all TD Industries does not service residential systemsIf in fact TD Industries did and accommodation for you then I am sure you can produce a signed receipt from the technician stating that the system is NOT leaking refrigerantI assure you that ANY time it is necessary to add refrigerant then the system is leaking If the technician was not there representing TD Industries then he is in fact CONTRACTING WITHOUT A LICENCE, and that is in direct conflict with the laws of Texas licensing divisionI am also sure that TD Industries would be interested to know that the technician is servicing someones home using TD Industries inventory due to the fact that Rrefrigerant is extraordinarily expensive to buy If you used a technician that is not a licenced contractor then you are without ANY validity in any of your statementsYour request for refund is again denied

JAK Services was dispatched to this home being sold by the buyers agent, as such we were to report any repairs necessary to to the buyer of the property. The technician from JAK Services arrived at the property and the seller and the sellers agent were present. the technician found the blower motor...

capacitor to be faulty, and not allowing the blower to come on when called for, also the outside service disconnect was in disrepair and hanging off the wall creating an electrical hazard. the seller authorized the repair of both items. While the technician was working the seller of the property began relaying to our technician that he(the seller) had a friend that worked for TD Industries, and that friend had filled the system with R22 refrigerant prior to our arrival. JAK Services technician relayed that information to our office, and as such JAK Services relayed that information to the buyer of the property. The seller of this property was in fact trying to pass a defective AC system off to the buyer of this property, and JAK Services WILL NOT ever be a party to a deceptive seller. AC refrigerant systems are a sealed loop and should never need additional refrigerant to be added, if refrigerant becomes necessary this indicates with 100% accuracy, that the system has a leak. R22 refrigerant systems are obsolete, and must be replaced in their entirety with an R410 refrigerant system. In regards to the complaint that they could not reach us, we are open 6 days a week and phones are answered between 8-5 daily Monday through Friday and 8-12 on Saturday. JAK Services tried on several occasions to reach the sellers agent, buyers agent, and even spoke personally with the potential buyer, trying to get paid for the 482.00 in repairs authorized by the seller. It was not until JAK Services had to threaten to file a mechanics lien, that the sellers agent finally called us, and finally the seller paid us that day. This complaint is nothing more that the seller trying to harm a good company that very much performed our responsibility to the buyer by informing them of a defective system that was in imminent need of replacement. The complainant in this matter is deceptive and angry because he got caught trying to pass off a defective AC system to the unknowing buyer. The buyer used good judgement in hiring a quality contractor that will tell the truth. The seller had to give up an additional 2000.00 on the selling price of the home to help offset the imminent replacement of the AC system. The complainant in this matter is without integrity or merit in this complaint, and as such his request for refund is denied.
