I would like to have the damage to my home fixed at a minimumI understand the damage cannot be fixed to the item itself (desk).
Note, in the most recent message the delivery company says my item was too large for deliveryOn the same day, they delivered a mattress larger than item they caused damage to (desk).
I was continuously told by both Vidmar Inc and *** *** that the damage would be taken care of on my stairs by Vidmar Inc and their insurance companyEach time I followed up *** Vidmar told me they were waiting on the insurance claim and later told me *** Vidmar works in that department and handles claims*** said he never had a claim nor would provide an insurance claim number - he said it was not his responsibility*** hung up and would not answer his phone nor return voicemails when inquiring when this claim will be followed through with as *** multiple times assured the damage would be taken care of* *** has also been in touch and instructed me that the company directly (Vidmar) would be fixing damage to the stairs.
The stairs were just refinished a month before moving inThe "leaves" the delivery company mentions are in fact chunks of wood from the stairs they broke off as they continuously dropped the item on the stairsThe paper I signed was signed upon arrival, not leavingThey did not use any protective coverings for the floor or stairs (most professionals use plastic and moving blankets, as well as safety straps for the professionals working)I immediately tried to call back in August when the original delivery and damage took place and after waiting mins - mins each time on the phone no one answered and there was no answering machine.

I would like to have the damage to my home fixed at a minimum. I understand the damage cannot be fixed to the item itself (desk). Note, in the most recent message the delivery company says my item was too large for delivery. Each time I followed up [redacted] Vidmar told me they were waiting on the insurance claim and later told me [redacted] Vidmar works in that department and handles claims. [redacted] said he never had a claim nor would provide an insurance claim number - he said it was not his responsibility. [redacted] hung up and would not answer his phone nor return voicemails when inquiring when this claim will be followed through with as [redacted] multiple times assured the damage would be taken care of. [redacted] has also been in touch and instructed me that the company directly (Vidmar) would be fixing damage to the stairs. The stairs were just refinished a month before moving in. The "leaves" the delivery company mentions are in fact chunks of wood from the stairs they broke off as they continuously dropped the item on the stairs. They did not use any protective coverings for the floor or stairs (most professionals use plastic and moving blankets, as well as safety straps for the professionals working). The customer in this complaint ordered an item that is too big to securely move into their home. When the crew was on delivery 8/3 the customer told them to try to get this into the home. This is a verbal waiver to the crew to attempt the delivery. The customer signed off on the proof of delivery...

stating there was no damage to the home. There was also no mention of the crew dropping the item. The customer then made contact with the shipper and delivery agent stating there was damage to the item and the stairs. The pictures provided showed stairs that looked to have aged damage with dirt and other wear on them. On the exchange attempt 8/28 the customer refused to sign a waiver document releasing responsibly. This is needed because the customer is making false claims and did not honor their approval during the first delivery to make the attempt. The customer never received confirmation from our company that we would be responsible. The customer has since told the shipper she does not want the item exchanged. The customer called in and spoke to a representative. The customer spoke uncontrollably and would not let the representative speak. The customer kept stating over and over that we said we would repair the stairs when we did not state that. The representative had to terminate the call. Any names of representatives must be removed from this claim. This claim is fraudulent and not valid. See attached proof of delivery signed by the customer.
