I hired this photographer to take pics of my family. When she was "done", she posted about 95 pics to Facebook - the majority of which were things like scenery, macros of flowers, etc. Nice enough but, not really what we'd hired her to do. Maybe 5 total usable shots of the family. In addition, I never agreed to to her posting our pics to FB & repeatedly requested she remove them. She never did.
Prior to paying, she'd agreed to let us see the proofs of everything. Afterwards, she refused & would only allow us to see what she considers "the best". When I explained we just wanted to be able to choose our favorites, I got a long-winded & totally irrelevant text reply about "people who don't understand that photography is more than just taking pictures".
Then, almost 8 weeks AFTER she said the pics were "done", we still hadn't rec'd the CD of images. Multiple excuses but, the CD never arrived & she would never provide a tracking #. Ultimately, after almost 4 months of waiting, we had to make arrangements to go in person (over 2 hours away) to get the CD. Very, very unprofessional.
Business failed to meet obligations as stipulated in contract and then failed to refund deposit. We had scheduled a photography session, scheduled date was subsequently cancelled by the photographer for weather reasons and rescheduled, however on one of those rescheduled days, the weather was in fact appropriate. Photographer then did not return phone calls, text messages, or emails which were repeatedly sent trying to reschedule. Photographer claimed that phone was malfunctioning, but multiple other modalities were attempted to contact the photographer and there was never a response. Because of time constraints and a need to complete the requested session by a certain time, we elected to go with a different company. The business is refusing to refund the deposit ($300) despite that services were not rendered because of a failure of the business to respond to any communications over a 2 week period. The business owner (Jen) essentially stopped communicating once the check was received and deposited by her.Unfortunately, A search of the web after these events revealed that similar problems have occurred with this business in the past.
