Dear ***,It was a pleasure speaking with you the other day As requested, I will be
submitting my response, via email, to complaint made by *** *** (AKA: ***) *** about JAMBOX, Inc It's so sad to see that *** ended what was a very pleasant & positive recording session into such an ugly sceneHard to believe that she contacted the Revdex.com with these accusations. For a brief background us (JAMBOX) we've been at our great Mid-Town Manhattan location for over yearsIn that time we've developed long standing relationships with our clientsOur aim has always been to cater to the client, and make them feel that we've went above and beyond for them. *** called our studio a couple of weeks before she arrived (8/**/16) speaking to both co-owner, *** *** *** & myself, Cathy P*** She wanted information about the studio (rates, location, packages, etc.) *** mainly handled her inquiriesShe wouldn't schedule a meeting time, she just kept saying she would be coming to New York some time on Monday (8/***) to see the studio & to record a song she wrote.*** showed up unscheduled at JAMBOX on 8/**/around 2pm We welcomed her & treated her with the utmost respect & kindnessWe showed her around "our Three studio rooms" (one of her statements she wrote in her complaint was that we "only had small studio").At this point, *** met with *** *** (studio co-owner & an award winning music industry veteran more on *** *** came out of the meeting after spending about hrs of his time with her gratisHe told me to book her for 8PM that eveningHe told me she wanted to work with him in our Studio A room*** expressed how intrigued she was by his accomplishments and how much she wanted to work with himThey agreed on $100/hour which is actually a discounted rate for *** *** servicesThey both were uncertain on how long they would be working together, but *** suggested we book her for hours She has "signed receipts for the time she worked & everything she did".We have policies in place that we adhere toThey make things run smoothlyWe all sat down and clearly went over the details of her project as we would anyone that chose us to record their project with usWe discussed scheduling, which studio to use, what she wanted to accomplish and how much time we had to accomplish itWe also discussed payment options, which our policy is to be paid for the time booked before start of each sessionShe was ok with everything except the paymentShe was very reluctant to pay anything until the very end stating she had credit card issues & how they put extra charges on her cardShe filled out the required paperwork & left a $cash depositShe was never "forced" to leave this deposit, it was procedure & clearly stated as so on the document she filled out & signed. After *** took care of booking that evenings 8pm session, she said she wanted to go check in to her hotel & she wanted to rest for a couple of hours & freshen up***, my assistant, & I helped her with directions & bus/subway/& cab info for the hotelThere was absolutely no forcing, trapping for her to come back later that evening! That evening *** arrived & went into Studio A with *** & workedThe recording session went almost hrs, but *** said to only charge her for hrs because she kept saying that she had to stay within her budgetAt this point she had a $balanceShe told me she wanted to come back the next day & she would only give me $& pay balance when she finished the next day (she went into the whole credit card story again, I agreed to her payment of $in cash, leaving her with a $balance.Note: She was fully informed on what she needed to pay & why she was paying it She read & signed the proper session sheets & tally sheets & was given a receipt. After checking the schedule for the next day I saw 1pm-10pm Studio A was booked *** agreed to come in for 10AM, not a norm for him, but he agreed to make this exception for her because she told him she was only here in NYC till Wednesday 8/**.On Tuesday (8/**) she came & worked with *** again for almost hrs, *** only charged her for 2hrs so she didnt go "over budget" She said she didnt want to go over $limitAlthough we knew that more time was needed, we stuck to that limitAgain she was given a session sheet & tally sheet receipt & copies of everything for her records.*** & *** decided she was going to come in that evening for 10PM but *** would call her as soon as the daytime session was ending & told her he would try to see if he could get her in earlier At around 9PM *** called herShe was as***pHe woke her up & they agreed to just wait to the next day for 2PM start. On Wednesday 8/** *** came in for around 2:30pm*** had already started working on her music (mixing & mastering and finalizing it) At around 3PM *** intercommed me & asked me to come into the studio that *** needed to see me. I went into the studio & *** was sitting on the couchShe was now extremely reluctant to pay although prior to this all she could talk about was how great everything was sounding, how she wanted to send her music to President *** since it was sounding so goodShe even invited *** to attend a so called "gathering" at the White House since he did the music. *** was at the board working on her music when *** held a piece of paper out & said, "You have to sign this"! I took the paper from her to read a hand written note that she wrote up as an Agreement basically stating we wouldn't release any of her music to any third party & that she worked for hours on August **-** & she paid in full $600. I then told her I couldn't sign this agreement because she didn't pay me $yet & after *** was done & she paid in full, I'd sign it I left the studio room & about 4:my assistant, Zephrah S*** intercommed me to come into the office because *** was upset and wanted to talk to me.When I went into the office *** was standing there holding the agreement paper she had made up & said to me: Now sign it, I paid! Her whole demeanor was different then it had been over the time she had been there She seemed nasty & very arrogant. So, I looked at the tally sheet to notice *** put down 2pm-4pm I brought it to ***'s attention & told her I was going to change it the time she came in & to the time it was and give her yet another free hour to accomodate her & not to worryWe only charged her for the hrnot At this point, she had gotten hrs of studio time free plus the two hrinitial meetingWe still only charged her $Any drinks and refreshments we also included in the price(not our norm,)I took her agreement & didn't have any problem signing it because I knew it was the agreed price she paid & I wanted her to be comfortable knowing we wouldn't use her music for anything else.*** finished making her CD's & even gave her a couple of extra cds gratis & also sent it to her email mp3.All seemed fine at this point we said our goodbyes & tried getting things done as fast as we could because she had to catch the bus to her return trip to Washington DC & *** had to start his next session.About 1/2hr later *** returned She first came into my office & when I saw her I was puzzled on why she was back because it was around 5:45pm & she told us she had to catch the 6PM bus downtown near ChinatownNow, this is where things really got out of control with herShe had this mean face on & was very loud shouting out: " YOU CHARGED ME TOO MUCH! .....I WANT MY MONEY BACK!....& went into a tiradeShe was just going on & on, Even shouting: "I'M DISABLED"!I tried calming her down but she just wouldn't let up & proceeded into the main office where my assistant Zephrah was Zephrah & I tried calming her down to no avail I tried asking her to sit next to me on the couch so I could go over all her records of her sessions she just didn't let up with her tantrum & started shouting: "***, ***, HELP ME, HELP ME"! (*** was in our Studio A in another session ....she literally pushed me out of the way & opened the studio door & started shouting to *** in front of his new client "HELP ME HELP ME, *** HELP ME..SHE"S TRYING TO STEAL MY MONEYwhile I was trying to calm her & *** just politely asked her to please leave, he was in the middle of a session). She became so irrate & started screaming, "I'M GOING TO CALL A COP"! I then realized this was getting out of control so as I was trying to get her to leave, I asked Zephrah to go downstairs & call the buildings security man & told *** she had to leave now!She finally left the office & went by the elevator continuing to scream she was calling a cop! I waited to she got onto the elevator & took the steps downstairs to the lobby to find her standing in front of the security guards desk screaming for him to "call a cop" & continuing her tantrum The security guard kept asking her why she needed a cop & she just continued saying, "I WANT A COP, I AM DISABLED & I WANT A COP!" but for whatever reason she just abruptly stormed out of the building shouting, "I'M STOPPING MY CREDIT CARD PAYMENT, I'LL SHOW THEM!".........Next thing you know, we receive this letter. These following statements are from *** *** ***:Phone intercoms are used for studio and session related communication, there was never any excessive useage Our policy is to pay before session but Cathy waited until the end to collect paymentWhat she signed was a receipt of payment If Cathy was abusive, *** would have never come back to record her project. "Record Your Story" is a totally non related service offered hereI have no clue what this has to do with anythingThere was a hip hop session going on in our 'Blue Room' studioYes the clients were Black***'s sessions never officially started until studio was set up and ready to goThis is a long standing policy with all JAMBOX clients-Adjustments for mic and recordingsoftware, searching for sounds needed will take timethat is inevitable cannot be avoidedAs far as the chair ajustment, I did whatever he could to make her comfortable, changing the stools that clients usually use to our chairs from our lounge for her*** & I listened se***l times to the final product & she was all excited & "invited" Cathy in the studio to listen with usThey were even dancing together -The talking that *** mentioned was only on the 1st cd she received 1st night she recorded it was a draft for her to listen toThat had been removedWe did everything in our power to ensure a great recording experience which *** claimed she had up until the end when she had to payThere were no stops, hiccups or inconveniences during her sessionsAt the end of the day, it seems *** feels that she can go into a shouting tirade and get away without paying her bill

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

It is very unfortunate to say the response by Jambox was a further incriminated themselves to further evidence of non legitimate business. It was a big lie. !! I communicated with Engineer, and appointment made, I had no clue then there would be a [redacted] involved especially her harsh approach for money. Please check their website of the "$100 for 3 hours" special package  for a Solo songwriter. There was mental tort for the sudden demand for money, unexpected during the introduction hour, affected my recording. I repeated, I was not given a tour nor see any other recording rooms. It was only one reception room and a door connected to a small recording studio. My loss is more than the whole bad deal with the studio, but crime against me I experienced as I mentioned previously. It was only the o Jambox who knew where I stayed, as [redacted] kept asking where I stayed, I hesitated to answer but I arrived at the studio and was hoping to work, building trust and produce my songs. I never experienced that somebody got into my room and handbag where I was sleeping at night and in the morning, found the door was opened and my handbag found on the floor by the opened door. I never experienced a thief got in my hotel room's and stole the cash in my life time anywhere in the world. I had put the cash in an irregular 'metro cards' pouch, inside my handbag. The pouch that I took the cash at the front of [redacted] twice, as she demanded for my credit card. Was the theft was a coincidence to my hotel information I gave to Jambox? I have a reasonable doubt of [redacted] honesty and to any statements she made, based on my experience. Her personality so vicious to force for money and credit card, and harrassments she made. She started asking credit card during the introduction hour. There was no sense of arts environment on her approach to the client. The next day I was not feeling well and disturb. I am giving a "red light"  ALERT to all Musicians of my experience. I have no further to say but STAY AWAY FROM [redacted] OF JAMBOX, it's a trapp. I came from out of state for recording, and being so openly and showed my respect for mutual benefit. I would never say this unless it is an outrages nightmare. There should be no artist/musician experienced what I had been through.
