Good morning my name is [redacted]. I am the service manager here at James Ceranti Motors. First of all we are very sorry for the issue at hand and will try our best to come to a resolution to resolve the issue with the customer on this matter. Mr. and Mrs [redacted]  brought...

their car in  on July 25, 2014 after the engine ran hot and started making noise. The dealership had a Chrysler trained technician diagnose the issue. During his diagnoses he found that the engine had suffered internal damage and would need a complete replacement assembly. The [redacted]s were notified of the issues and needed repairs. At this time they also told us that they had a certain technician in mind that they wanted to look at their vehicle. The dealership acknowledged the request and was happy to accommodate. The technician in question is not our normal small engine technician, he is our heavy duty technician and with farming season in full swing his work load was pretty demanding seeing as how his main areas at the dealership are diesel engines and transmissions, therefore it would take a bit longer to be able to free him up to take on new work. We did, and on November 17, 2014 he begin his diagnosis of Mr. and Mrs. [redacted]s vehicle. Upon running standard test for this type of issue like compression, computer diagnosis and fluid conditions, he found low compressions on cylinders causing an engine misfire condition and also found the engine had a lower end knock. Believing that the engine had internal damage and wanting to please the customer complete tear down of the engine was requested on 11/20/2014 at 12:46pm. The technician began and on Tuesday December the 2nd, Mr. [redacted] was called and told the vehicle was disassembled and he was more than welcome to come see the damage. The engine is going to require complete replacement. As of December 5, 2014 at 8:50am Mr. or Mrs. [redacted] has not been by the dealership to inspect the damages or discuss the repairs needed. As with any customer that we are lucky to have and assist we will give the best price possible to keep their business here with us at James Ceranti Motors. We will also offer them the choice of a new remanufactured engine with a warranty from mopar or a used engine with a limited warranty. Thank you for your help resolving this matter and we look forward to helping and taking care of the [redacted]s for all of their future vehicle needs.
