deposit for six months including during our busy season of Christmas except that Mr.[redacted] called us to ask if he could make another payment later. We agreed. Eventually we contacted Mr [redacted] when no other payments were made with in a six month period. He then said the engagement was called off and requested a refund. We explained that because the ring had been out of inventory for such along period we would gladly provide him with a credit of $80.00 toward another purchase at anytime.
He was not happy with this common and best practice of the jewelry industry. We will refund to him the $80.00 even though it seems unfair. We at no point implied that we would keep the money without giving him full credit toward another purchase.
Unfortunately he has left one message on our recorder that is of concern to us for safety of employees. If you provide us with his address we will issue a check for the full $80.00 and mail it but I would prefer that Mr. [redacted] not enter our store.
