I bought my car from james hodge ford in Idabel oklahoma.In my contract I got Gap insurance. Six years later I totaled my car on january 21 2019.Long story short after 3 weeks into turning in my insurance. Genesis says I had cancelled my Gap insurance. The Ford place has no record of it but in march paid my lien holder what I paid for in 2013 sum of 783.00.Even though I constantly said I never cancelled. if I did why did ford place wait 6 yrs to pay my lien holder didn"t understand that either.There was no proof on either side that I ever did. Now I"m stuck with a 1300.00 balance that I cant afford to pay.Its
bad on my credit and has put a tremendous strain on me.I have my contract of when I bought Gap and all other papers . Is there anything I can do? THANK YOU
Ms. claimed she never received payment from when she canceled her GAP insurance in 2013. Enclosed you will find documents to show that on March 15, 2019, a check was prepared for $786.96 and mailed out to OKCU (her lender) on March 15, 2019. Also, a cancellation worksheet has been included to show where she canceled GAP on December 9, 2013.
