I have been in business for forty three years and have never had a Revdex.com complaint and very few others. Because there are so few people in this trade my business is rare these days and I normally run six to eight months on repair returns and this was made evident to Mr. [redacted] when he dropped off his...

clock. I normally have thirty to forty clocks in the queue for repair and when someone calls on the phone it takes a few minutes to locate the clock. When he called he was quite upset that it was taking so long, to accommodate him. I actually moved his clock forward in the queue so that he could have it next week. I do not believe that Mr. [redacted] examined the clock carefully when he purchased it. True there is a small ding on the bezel but that was there when Mr. [redacted] brought in the clock. As far as the indentations on the dial of the clock it looks to me like someone has been beating on it with a ball-peen hammer. It's not easy see but obvious if you look at it closely. Why would I do that? The receipt for the platform had already gone to the bookkeeper but I can find it if he must see it. In effect he is accusing me of fraud by charging him for a part that I did not replace. I assure you I do not hit clocks with a hammer and I don't appreciate being accused of fraud. Mr. [redacted] was very upset when I gave him the bill for 250.00. he accused me of "highway robbery" and ranted about the price. I actually subtracted $75.00 for the bill in an effort to calm him down. we never keep keys as they can sometimes get lost but I gave him a new key as a courtesy. I now have a serious blot on my reputation which I can do nothing about about as Mr. [redacted] lives in my small town and I am sure he will tell everyone how he was mistreated. In any service business there is the occasional unhappy customer and will try diligently to make all of our customers happy but as far as Mr. [redacted] goes I doubt if that would be possible even if I offered him his 175.00 back which I will not do. I did the work and should be paid.
