James Neil "Diversified Services"

I found James Neil through Berkeley county online yard sale page. James Neil advertised he did all types of jobs. We needed a black chain link fence and our basement flooding problem fixed.

James Neil brought in his cousin, Rodney S to help address our basement and they both assured us they could not only fix the problem, they would stand 100% behind their work.

Not only did they improperly install the sub pump by using a 50 foot extension cord instead being properly wired like was stated in the contract, they cut the ground off of the end of the extension cord creating a extreme safety hazard as water came in the basement again. Sub pump was not installed properly to keep the water from going past it.

It was also stated in the contract that Rodney and James would remove dirt from basement and spray for mold... neither was done. All their work was shoddy and not discovered until it rained again.

We hired James Neil and Rodney S in good faith. James assured us he would not only fix the problem he and Rodney would stand 100% behind their work, which they did not.

I contacted James Neil again on Thursday, August 15th and James assured me they would be up mid-afternoon Friday, August 16th to look at the basement again to fix the problem. Not only did he stop communicating, Both calls I made to James Neil and Rodney S were never retuned.

We trusted James Neil and Rodney and felt we were really duped by these "contractors". Not only did they do a shoddy job in the basement creating a lot of stress for my husband and I, they took our money and ran. We are senior citizens and my husband is disabled from near fatal throat cancer. He could not climb up into the crawl space to "inspect" their work. Shoddy work was not discovered until it rained again.

This has been SO stressful and upsetting for us!!! Not only were we lied too we are out $3800.00!!!!!!
