False advertising. Business did not honor a coupon that they put on[redacted] magazine.I was looking for a pest management company and I looked in[redacted] magazine and found a coupon for $100 off initial termite treatment. I called and stated that I had a coupon for $100 off and that I wanted to make an appointment for a quote. They sent someone and I decided to use the company for my services. The payment was divided into 3 payments and I called to make the payments. The second month that I called to make the payment I asked the lady that answered the phone when the $100 off was going to show on the bill and she said that to be able to honor the coupon they had to see it, so I asked if I should just send the last payment by mail with the coupon instead of paying over the phone and she said yes. I sent the last payment with the coupon and 2 weeks later I received a bill for $100 so I called and asked why and they said that they were going to call me back and they never did so I thought that everything was solved. One month and a half later I received another bill for $100, so I called and now they are telling me that they are not going to honor the coupon. This is completely false advertising. I decided to go with this company to begin with because I had this coupon.Desired SettlementI would like the business to honor the coupon.Business Response To Whom it May Concern,Attached is a copy of the salesman's sales form from 04/22/*2014. There is not mention of a coupon of any type being presented at this time. The coupon did appear in this publication and was readily available to anyone. A disclaimer statement appears advising to present coupon at time of sale. Obviously Ms [redacted] has no presented the coupon. As a good faith gesture I have honored this coupon and credited Ms [redacted]'s account.Thank you,[redacted]Collections ManagerJames Pest managementXXX-XXX-XXXX

I can not recommend James Pest control. I used them for 10 years. When it came time to cancel the contract I was mislead and threatened.
I wouldn't use this company","neg-1

Scammed appointment times. Disrespectful customer service. Lack of management/ownership. FRAUD!3/6/15 A service truck arrived without appointment. It was a snow day with businesses and schools cancelled. I told him my husband who was out of town but handles the account did not make the appointment nor felt comfortable paying for service when all parameters of the house were covered in snow. [redacted] acted as if he was going to get in big trouble if I didn't sign a form releasing him to show his bosses - after I signed the form he handed me a receipt that said we would be charged $69. I immediately called the office and spoke with [redacted] who said she could not help me and I had to wait for the customer service manager [redacted] to come is since she was late from the snowy roads. I waited two hours and never heard back. I called back and the front desk transferred me to [redacted] in accounting. I asked to speak to manager or owner and she said that wasn't an option and she would handle. She was condescending in telling me we had to pay no matter what because our contract said they will call us three times and if they cannot get us to call back they will just show up to service. My husband did not sign a contract nor had they called THREE times. [redacted] was very unprofessional in her tone, argumentative and yelling. She also mocked me in saying that [redacted] certainly was not a manager when I was only referencing what [redacted] told me earlier that morning. Customer service is not a priority and this company is of the lowest quality I have ever dealt with! After I gave up trying to have a logical conversation with [redacted], my husband called back ten minutes later and she was mysteriously unavailable and we hadn't heard back. No managers, no owners, no [redacted], no [redacted]! It's unfortunate that the man who came out the first time was so kind, knowledgeable, helpful and nice and talked about the company being a family business which was what attracted us to use them. We were very misled by a company trying to scam us on appointments with no contract or hoping we wouldn't be home and they would "service" without permission! Desired SettlementWe had NO contract. We had NO appointment. We had NO service. If the company wishes to charge us for $69 because of their immoral, unethical fraudulent scam then they need it more than us and we pity them! Business Response This complaint is totally without substance or foundation and littered with slanderous inaccuracies and verbiage. James Pest Management documentation is attached which clearly refutes this complaint. This claim is so clearly refuted that James Pest Management demands and expects that this complaint be redacted in it's entirety. We are placing this complaint with our attorney for allocution of the language and allegations of this customer. Our resolve in this matter is absolute. Nothing less than our request will be acceptable.

Billed for services not rendered on 06/20/14. I received a work order (134849) for services at [redacted] for $75.00. When I initially signed up for service I was informed I was not under contract and I would not be billed for services unless these said service were performed. I had used them for about a year and paid the tech after each service was completed. I was contacted several times and informed by the scheduling person that it was time for my quarterly pest control I informed the scheduler that I did not want the services then and I would call back when I was ready. On 06/20/14 I received a phone call from one of your technicians from my gate stating that since he was in the area the office wanted to know if I wanted services. I told the tech I did not and it also states this on the back of the invoice what I had told the tech. I really don't appreciate being billed for something I had not requested and Marge informed me she would be sending this to collection since I refuse to pay for this invoice. I would understand if I had received services and I did not pay the bill but I did not request these services.Desired SettlementNot to be charged for services not rendered and to have them not to contact me concerning services again.Business Response James Pest Management does not provide services without a signed agreement with the customer. Enclosed is a copy of her signed agreement (contract) front & back showing signatures which is self explanatory. Also attached is our scheduling departments file on this account which readily shows our many attempts to fullfill this agreement. Without question, ** have vastly exceeded the norm in customer service. I would add, the review of the service tickets for this account shows no pest problems after initial services. Obviously, a job "too well done".sConsumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)You can not charge me for services that were not rendered. You have a call log showing where I stated I would call you back when I was ready for them to come out to my home. Since this has not happen yet why do they insist on sending me invoices. As long as I notify you that I don't want service and have not canceled my so called contract; pleae tell me how I am still getting invoiced?Final Business Response Ms. [redacted] Agreement is written in plain and understandable english. Ms. [redacted] should be aware that she is in breech of this contract. Legally, ** can collect this amount owed on the agreement, attorney's fee and potential punitive award. ** have exceeded "customer service" above and beyond. This is our final communication in this matter.

After they assessed the property said they could take care of my infestation. After the initial service and two call backs some infestation remained. On August 12, 2013 they came out and inspected my home. They told me they could rid me of the infestation with initial payment of $245.00 for the treatment. I also signed a year's contract for maintenance. The first treatment was set-up and done a few days later 8/15/13 with a follow-up in a few weeks. I continued to see lots of the roaches, even baby roaches on a daily basis, up to two weeks later. Then, I called and informed [redacted] of what was going on. They came back out and did another treatment on the 09/08/13. I was told that treatment should be effective, if I continued to see roaches within the next few weeks to call back. Although a bit better, I still continued to see too many roaches on a daily basis. I called them again. They came back out on 09/26/13 to treat again. I was told by the technician to give it 3 weeks and then call back if I still see them to. I did just that. The roaches crawling never stopped but persist daily. I called them again for a follow-up and spoke with [redacted]. She said I would have to make an appointment and pay $75 if they come back out. I told her, do they expect me to pay for another treatment when the initial treatment(s) done in the first quarter never fully worked or freed my home of the roaches. She said I signed a contract and had to take the treatment and pay for it. I refused. I contacted my daughter and we called and spoke to [redacted] again. She stated that they don't guarantee to eliminate any pests, they only control them. My daughter addressed that with, what since does it makes for someone to pay an extermination company to control pests and not rid their homes or businesses for them. Controlling or managing pests seems to be the same as eliminating them to me. We then talk to the owner Mr. [redacted]. He spoke about the initial assessment. He said they under bided the job. He said an infestation like that would take more treatments. That's not what the technician told me in the initial inspection before I agreed to utilize their services. That should have been disclosed from the beginning not after the fact. Mr. [redacted] went so far as to justify why the roaches could still be there, because the infestation was so severe. He also said I waited too late to call back to report seeing the roaches. I did what I was told by the technician. Mr. [redacted] also defends that the technician would not have told me to wait more than 2 weeks to call them back out for retreatment. How would he know that if he wasn't present at the time? Mr. [redacted] said he wanted to make a deal with me. The deal was, if he accompanies his technician out to inspect my home and discovers there isn't a bad roach infestation, they were going to do the treatment and I was to pay for it. If there was still an infestation, they would do the treatment for free. On my behalf, my daughter told him that we were not negotiating or making any deals like that. Why would I lie about something like that? I do know that I shouldn't have several roaches still crawling around on a daily basis after 3 treatment attempts. He was seemed a bit upset and said that he will just cancel my appointment and I wouldn't owe them anymore money. My daughter told him that he can cancel the appointment but should refund my money for ineffective, unsuccessful services. Apparently the conversation caused a lot of agitation for Mr. [redacted] and he hung up the phone in our faces. I'm appalled that Mr. [redacted] didn't use good customer service with me. He didn't attempt to gain my satisfaction. I'm a senior citizen on a fixed income and can't afford to lose this money. I took a chance on James Pest Management Company to provide me with a service that they weren't able to supply. I patronized Mr. [redacted] company to rid my home of pests and that's what I expected for my money. I didn't get what I paid for but I did get an antagonistic, unreceptive and argumentative business owner that leaves me with an unpleasant and unpleasing experience. Desired SettlementI want the contract cancelled and a full refund because they didn't free my home of the pest as stated in their ad online @ [redacted] and the memphis phone book. I would also like an apology from Mr. [redacted] for his lack of customer care. Business Response Unfortunately, Revdex.com's supposed clout to attempt to remove a bonifide debt is being utilized. Ms.[redacted] (both [redacted] and [redacted], her daughter), whichever authorized this information should have done more homework. The documentable facts are:1. [redacted] signed a JPM pest control agreement on 8/12/13 (copy attached). Also attached is the sales representatives internal use information sheet.2. Attached are copies of service tickets. A. 8/15/13 ticket advises roach infestation through out the house and also on the exterior B. 8/30/13 follow-up ticket advises roaches only in kitchen. This was a follow-up visit per contract. C. 9/26/13 recall ticket advised adult roaches in kitchen and pantry only.3. Copy of schedules call sheet with notations. In reviewing these documents it is evident that:Ms. [redacted] signed a pest control agreeemnt, not a pest elimination. Quite a difference and something no one can do. [redacted] and [redacted] would have you believe that we sold them pest elimination and that's what they expected. The records indicate that this extensive roach population has been greatly reduced and is under control with continuing reduction. All of this in less that ninety days.A quote from this information "My daughter addressed that (elimination) with, what since does it make for someone to pay an extermination company to control pest and not ride their homes or businesses for them."I refer to this statement because [redacted] (acct #[redacted]) has had pest control servie with JPM since April 2011. Data that reflect pest issues controlled over this span of time with her are available. In other words, [redacted] knows that we do not do elimination, we do control and we do it very well. The handwritten notes by the scheduler says it all "doesn't have money." This comment made before any discussion about roach issues. Our offer was to come out the week of October 28 and treat, at no charge if there was an quantitive roach issue and if not, they would pay us per the contract terms. Without question a fair offer however, as you see this was not what they wanted to hear. Our position, a signed agreement, controlled pest, and a customer who has gotten their problem solved but do not want to live up to their agreement. We have nothing else to offer. They must abide by the agreement or be in breech of this agreement.Final Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)I'm appalled with Mr. [redacted] implying that I'm trying to get out of his contract because of lack of money. My paying wasn't the issue. My statement was, I don't have any more money to keep paying for their inadequate treatments... I signed the contract in good faith of what I was told by the technicians. Mr. [redacted] has no idea of the conversation that transpired between me and the technician. So he can't truly say what I was told. They still didn't deliver on their end. Also Mr. [redacted] forgets they do offer an option of a onetime treatment. If it was about money, I would have opted for that option instead. Mr. [redacted] only wants to make excuses because he is too prideful and don't want to admit this failure. Please refer to the attachment based on [redacted] guarantee. It states, "We specialize in ridding your home of unwanted insects ... " Rid means to free, do away with, ect. "We're dedicated to helping you live your life pest-free. If we take care of a problem for you and it returns, we will too-at no additional charge! ...to bib your unwanted visitors goodbye for good. "[redacted] Thus, Mr. [redacted] should take time to do his research and read his own advertisements before denying them. I refer to his words "[redacted] knows that we do not do elimination, we do control and we do it very well." My daughter affairs with thme has absolutely nothing to do with mine. My issues is a seperately intity.Anyway, You can't compare her needs of etermination to mine because they are totally different in nature. During the course of her using you, she had to call you back to come out and retreat several times within several quarters. If your products are so effective, why is retreating before the quarter is up necessary? Also, since you have disclosed my daughter's conception date, Aprill 2011, you may as well disclose the date that she canceled your services, due to their lack of customer service and to poor services that you have rendered to her mother. You had no business disclosing any of her information or my personal confidential information. You have displayed my address etc for others to see and black out stuff that pertained to your company. That is an invasion of my right to privacy, careless on your part and puts me a risk, and is unacceptable and unfair to me. No I do not accept thier response or explantion of the events. I still have roaches crawling daily and a reduction of the roaches isn't what they told me I would be paying for or would be getting. There are still too many raoches to claim that they are even controlled. let alone been ridded of. I want a full refund of my money and a cancelled contract Mr. [redacted]. Final Business Response Mrs. [redacted] retoric is just that. Our position is clear, we offered excellent customer service to address her issues whether factual or not. She refused our offer. What else can be said. The facts speak volumns. This is our final communication in this matter.

The company starting this contract out by not performing as they told me they would.I was told when I signed a one yr contract and paid the first installment of 150.oo on 8-4-2015 they they would in 2 weeks start a gel treatment and on 8-182015 when I had not heard from the company I called the office and salesman [redacted] and he was very sarcastic and unprofessional with me on the phone and he did not act like this before I signed the 500 dollar contract I just want company's like this to do want they tell the customer if I had not called the company when the 2 weeks was up I do not think they would have honored what they told me because the office said when I called that they would set me up a appt and I would not recommend this company to anyone I know. One unhappy customer. [redacted]Desired SettlementThe company should do what it's salesman and office say's it is going to do for the customer.Business Response Enclosed are redacted copies of this person's pest agreement, our contact notes, and all of his service records (both of them). These show that James Pest Management has fulfilled every aspect of this agreement. This person had a severe German roach population which we reduced in fifteen (15) days to a minimal amount. His letter dated August 18, 2015 is one day before our follow-up visit which revealed our exceptional control of his pest problem under extenuating circumstances (illness of relative in structure). Our agreement is to control target pest which we have accomplished. This "complaint" should be a "recommendation" of outstanding accomplishment by James Pest Management. By the way, "consumer desired resolution" was accomplished "before" his perceived perception of "complaint". He has no "complaint" and we expect this "complaint" to be purged from your records.Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)When the salesman [redacted] came to our house 7-30-15 he only saw one roach so there was not a severe problem here I filed this because I was told that a free follow would be done in 2 weeks [redacted] pest was here on 8-4-15 and at 8-18-15 I called [redacted] and he was very rude and when I called the office the same day holly told me they were to do a follow up in 17 to 21 days so holly sent a tech named Jason here on 8-19-15 the salesman [redacted] gave me his business card but when I called him he stated what do you want me to do we will not come out to your house for one bug his attitude on the phone was very unprofessional and the response from James pest is not truthful. [redacted]Final Business Response Revdex.com, are you reading the factual data we provided? Obviously not, as you continue this matter. This person has no complaint. He clearly states the salesman identified an active German roach infestation. We made a no cost follow-up visit approximately two weeks after the initial service (initial 8-4-15/follow-up 8/19/15). Label language, which we have to follow, restricts how often we can apply pesticides. Pesticides that have a longer residual effect than even thirty days. For your information, our contract is for "control" of target pest which we accomplished. In Mr. [redacted] last correspondence, he does not complain of "any" active roach issues. This coming almost a month after the initial service. We do not respond to a sighting of only one target pest as we know that our pest management procedures will address an incursion. One pest is not an infestation, multiple pest are.By the way, what does the complainant really want as we have fulfilled controlling all his pest problems and his perceived slights. The salesman says he was never rude or unprofessional.I expect his next response will be his desire to cancel his agreement. This is our last communication in this matter and I expect this "complaint" to be deleted as it has no foundation of fact.
