Now to the complaint, I filed this complaint because I felt that they did not live up to their claims of affordable resort vacations. The destinations that we tried to research were never available and the ones that were, we could get them at a considerably lower price on our own. Their "high...
pressure and Now or never" approach made it impossible to check their claims. I contacted them several times to question the lack of vacation options and stated that we were never informed of the annual renewal fee. I also told them that I can get better pricing on my own for vacation location identical to their offerings. Their response to lack of vacations options was to keep checking their website. I did some research on them last summer and found that others felt the same way that I do regarding their sales approach and vacation options. This compelled me to file a complaint. As you can see from the renewals, my account was locked due to none payment of renewal. This prevented me and others like me from researching vacation destinations. I feel that a full refund of all monies paid including renewals is warranted. I have attached all the documents that I have including some renewal notices. After purchasing 10/18/14, these members were called on 10/20/14 to “welcome” and share our Customer Service Agent’s contact information. During the purchase these members initialed that they were aware of the $199 annual dues. They also initialed that they understood we have a price match guarantee and to call our concierges for help with travel plans. Please see previously submitted contract. Our Members have the ability to book hotels, condos, tours, cruises, car rentals at a discount, all based on availability. We also have date specific “Getaways” , for example a week in a condo starting at $155. During the course of their 2 years of membership, these members only logged into their membership website approximately 20 times and they never called our Travel Concierge or Customer Service Agent for any type of travel request or to voice they needed assistance with the website. Because our member’s satisfaction is important, we would like to offer to cover the yearly dues this year so that these members can take full advantage of everything Diamond Departures has to offer.
