Review: My complaint is in regards to the service I received from James S Zelasco Insurance Agency, an Erie Insurance agent. Although Mr. Zelasco's name is on the sign, he delegates much of his work to his subordinates "[redacted]" and "[redacted]" who may, or may not be licensed agents. In fact, despite Mr. Zelasco being my agent for 3 policies for four years, I have only dealt with him once (when he happened to answer the phone at the office.)Due to my schedule, my best contact is through email. On October 9, I reached out to Erie for a quote on a homeowners policy for a home I am under contract on. Over a week later, I had not heard back so I sent an additional email. On October 21, I received a reply stating that they received my previous email and replied requesting additional information regarding the home. I did not receive a previous email.That same day, I faxed and emailed over a copy of the form with the information they required. NINE days later on Oct 30, I received word that the inspector had been to the home and they required repairs to a small piece of missing siding and information regarding two accidental, non catastrophic claims on the home with the previous owners who are not available. After much research with an independent agent, I discovered that the claims were filed through an Erie agent, something I would have assumed they could have found.I advised them I was meeting with contractors on the repairs they required. I spent one of my precious and rare days off doing so. After meeting with the contractors and resolving the previous claims on the home, they suddenly requested a copy of a VERY clean professional home inspection report. Finally, on November 1st, nearly three weeks after my initial request for a quote, they stated they would not write a policy unless all aspects of the report were conducted and re-inspected, right down to the tiniest irrelevant detail. I balked at their absurd request and I am now in the process of moving to State Farm, with better rates!Desired Settlement: I want an apology from James Zelasco (Not [redacted] or [redacted]). I have been a loyal customer and do not feel valued. They wanted repairs to the siding before writing a policy and I devoted a rare day off to meet their demands. After wasting that day, they suddenly decided they wanted a copy of the inspection report. It was shady to do so and made all of estimates I received useless. The communication was poor and they made no effort to find out about the previous claims on their end (LAZY).

I Have contacted Mr [redacted] and left a voice mail message explaining my review of this file.

I offered our apology for the communication which could have been better if we had talked

on the phone rather than various e-mails. I feel if we could have discussed these issues we

may have been able to reach a satisfactory agreement. I apologized for his frustrations in securing

the home policy. I do note that Mr [redacted] has obtained insurance with another carrier at this time

so he does not need our service for the home policy. I also apologize for [redacted] who has been

in an accident and can not respond to these issues. Both [redacted] and [redacted] are full time agents with years

of experience. We are not able to look at prior claims involving Erie insureds since they were not in my agency

That is why we asked for Mr [redacted]'s help. That should have been relayed at the time.
