Ms. [redacted] originally hired the company to repair some plumbing in her shower. That job was completed the same day we gave her the bid. She liked the amount we bid, liked our work. While we were there, she hired us for several other jobs. I gave her a bid, we filled out a contract. At the...

time, we told her the outside work was weather-based. The other work, (incomplete work from a previous contractor) I did complete that job (install a shower base) and other jobs around the house. She kept adding jobs to the list. Little things around the house, I'd do and wouldn't even charge her for. She wanted tile on her floor plus several other jobs. I said we'd do this work or that work. I informed her that I do have other clients and I have to share my time. I informed her we'd have to fit her in between my other jobs. She called me on a Friday, I already had a job scheduled. I told her we'd make an effort to make it out to her on Saturday. If not, we'd be out there Monday. We went out Monday. I called her on the phone. She said she didn't want us to finish the job. I called her to ask if it was about money or if she didn't like the work. The last day I was at her house, I let her know we just needed to let the tile dry. We'd basically finished working. We just had one more day until we were done. She was upset about Saturday but we didn't even promise to come out Saturday and we had other clients. She was upset about that one day. She didn't answer the door and she decided to keep my tools for about 4-5 days. I contacted the police, and they had to tell her it was a civil matter and she had no right to keep my tools. She told me that the person she'd hired before me disappeared with her money. I told her I definitely wouldn't do that. I honored all parts of the contract. She can ask me to not come back because that's her right but I showed up until she asked me not to come back anymore. My fiancee stopped by to bring me a tool from our headquarters while I was at work. She stayed for a second and I introduced her to Ms. [redacted]. Her attitude changed when after that.
