Bad customer service and disrespectful managers.
I leased an apartment at one of the properties managed by Jamespoint and every time I have an issue or request they have been disrespectful, rude and condescending towards me and my relatives. I had to move out early out of my apartment due to my husband's deployment situation, his name was not on the lease and his orders did not qualified me to end the lease so I paid through the end of it even though I did not lived the anymore. I had to move out of the Country so I left the keys and instructions with my mother to turn such keys and finalize everything. When she told me she went to speak with the manager, she said she was very rude (which she has been to me in the past) and she told her there would be a last utilities bill and a charge of $250 for carpet cleaning. The apartment has been empty for the past month and the electricity bill came up as $90+ dollars when my mom brought this up the manager told her I should've spoken to a manager before I left. I called today to figure out why my bill was so high and she said it was calculated by a third party so it's not their fault. My second issue was the carpet, when I spoke to one of the agents about my situation he informed me I could clean the carpet on my own if I didn't wish to pay them so I did so when I left. I received an email with my move out procedures and this is the only thing t said about carpet cleaning: CARPET SHAMPOO As stated in your lease, all residents are required to shampoo the carpets when vacating. If you would like, the office will arrange for your carpet shampoo at the discounted rate that we receive from carpet cleaning companies must be paid before move out. The rates are: One bedroom apt $50.00
This must be paid in advance in the form of money order or cashiers check only.
This rate only covers shampoo and deodorizing; it does not cover stain removal. If there are fees for stains, they will be charged and deducted from your security deposit.
I was never told there would be a $250 fee for flea treatment. A month later I am finding out about this charge and when I tried to call and clarify this everything turned south. I spoke to the manager Virginia who is the same person my mom spoke to, she was incredibly rude and would not even let me speak, she told me it is company policy to clean such carpets and treat them for fleas, She did not care about anything I had to say and kept repeating "company policy" over and over so I told her I wished to speak to someone in corporate and she told me to speak to Renee. When I called Renee she was more than rude, she answered the phone and told me she was very busy and had no time so what did I wait to complain after I moved out and why didn't I do it before. I started explaining my situation and she said I was wasting her time because it's Texas law that all residents must treat the carpet for fleas. I didn't even get to the part where I was only complaining about the customer service I have received because she kept cutting me off and wouldn't let me speak. I told her all I wanted was to talk to someone that would listen and care and she said she was just gonna be quiet so I could have a conversation with myself. At this point I told her to have a nice day and hung up the phone. I have never been treated with such disrespect and condescension in my life. I am a military spouse so I have lived in different cities, states and countries and never have I been treated like this. After this situation I started doing research and found out I am not the only person that has had this experience, more than half of the negative reviews online are about managers and the corporate office. I don't even care about the money at this point, my complain is about their lack of respect and customer service and the fact that they refuse to listen to what I have to say even if they're in the right, that is not the way to treat a customer that is paying you money every month on time and without any issue.

Desired Outcome

I wish for them to apologize to me and to remove any pending charges from my account and give me my security deposit back in full.
