Review: In November 2014, my husband and I entered into a contract to be represented by Patriot Law Group to assist us in the deed in lieu process with our home. We were told our retainer fee for all services would be $2900 and agreed on a 3-tier payment plan. I paid the initial fee of $1450 by e-check that day. When the second payment was due, I was told that their ACH department could not process e-check payments and to overnight a cashier's check for $1000, which I did. That same evening, I was contacted by Mr. [redacted] stating he could process the ACH withdrawal from my account and to contact him with the amount. I called immediately and said to not process any payment as I had mailed the cashier's check. The next day my account was overdrawn due to an ACH withdrawal of $1450 by Patriot Law Group. I contacted the company immediately and requested my funds be returned. Two attempts were made by Mr. [redacted] to refund $1450 to my account but the checks were returned due to their accounts being closed. In total, I have paid $3900 plus fees incurred by my bank. I had requested that my cashier's check be returned to me but was told that it was deposited in error. I have made multiple requests to get the $1000 I have overpaid refunded to me but keep getting told that the bank has denied Patriot Law Group an account. Also, the company has not provided the services I have paid for and has not responded to multiple email requests for an update. If the company can not manage their finances, how am I supposed to trust that they can handle my case appropriately as well. Obviously, I am concerned about fraudulent activity as well.Desired Settlement: First, I would like to receive better communication from the company about the status of our case and the status of my refund. Because of my concern about possible fraudulent activity, I would like some kind of proof that they are actually working with our mortgage company to provide the services we agreed on in the contract. At a minimum, I am requesting that I receive a refund of $1000. Our file has been open with Patriot Law Group since 11/25/2014 and we were told that we would have resolution in 30 - 60 days. As of today, it has been 120 days. If the law group is unable to provide the services that we agreed on in our initial contract then I would request that I receive a full refund for failure to provide contracted services.

Review: My wife and I hired this company, roughly a year ago to get our home loan mortgage modified. We've paid them in full and on time,about $3500, all documents on our end were sent in to their attorney, his name is [redacted], last we talked to him everything was good and sent off all paperwork to their underwriter. We tried to contact with no luck, nobody would answer or return messages, then to find out our loan has been sold back to wells fargo, and all we received was a letter from wells fargo stating Jamil Law, is not representing us anymore. Still try to contact daily.Desired Settlement: Complaint filed, attempt to contact company, reimbursement for services not completed.
