Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:The vendor's facts are inaccurate.  The problems with the doors, with the exception...

of the safety photo beams, pre-dated Hurricane Sandy and we told the vendor that when he called.  In fact, when the Hurricane took place on October 29, 2012, we had another service appointment scheduled with [redacted] Doors but deferred that appointment since we could not live in our home until just a few weeks ago due to storm damage. The problems started almost immediately after installation of the two new doors.  The vendor has made several service calls already.  They have set up our two vehicles on multiple occasions to interact with one or both doors.  Shortly after setting up the vehicles, the doors would once again not operate using the vehicle controls.  Further, the doors do not always open or close using either the number pad outside each door or the push button inside the garages. When Mr. [redacted] called me last week, he did what he is prone to do on the phone ... Bellow continuously.  I told him I was perfectly happy to pay to repair the safety photo beams but the rest of the problems have been constant since original installation. It should be pointed out that while the vendor claims we have changed vehicles that my wife and I own the exact same vehicles that we had when these doors were installed in 2011, a 2004 Chevy Suburban and a 2010 Toyota Highlander, both maroon in color. While the vendor claims the warranty is only on the motor and belt, state law requires that there be a warranty for serviceability for the purpose intended.  Since the vendor apparently agreed prior to Sandy that they were responsible to fix the problems and, in fact, made several repair visits to my home, I expect them to fix the original problems.  On at least one of the prior service visits, the vendor replaced ther "boards" in the units.  The repair visit that was interrupted due to Hurricane Sandy was also to replace the "boards" and to perform other repairs. So the matter remains that I have continuing problems with both doors including the safety photo beams. The safety photo beams I will willingly pay for and told the vendor in between bellows.  I expect him to fix the rest of the problems and reprogram the vehicles as part of his sale price.Thank you.

Review: In 2011 into 2012, we did a major remodel of our home located at [redacted]. Once of the issues that were fixed was our garage doors. Those were fixed by being totally replaced by Jammer Doors in August 2011. While the general installation was satisfactory, the ongoing operation of these doors has been anything but satisfactory.

I made numerous calls to Jammer Doors for service. Jammer Doors sent a technician several times to deal with the problems and replaceds the "control boards" in each of the two door openers more than once each. However within days of any service calls, the doors would exhibit problems again. Sometimes the same problem that had just been serviced showed up again.

Problems with routine door operations continued and we were waiting for another service call when Hurricane Sandy happened. Since we live in [redacted], our neighborhood took the brunt of the storm coming ashore LBI but our home suffered little damage from the wind. We did have flood damage and we are aware that the flood damage did damage the optical sensors mounted near the bottoms of the door tracks. No other parts of the doors and/or door openers were damaged by flooding.

The problems that were evident prior to Sandy were:

Neither vehicle could open or close either garage door. Before the vehicles' abilities were eliminated, one vehicle was set to open either door using different

codes and the other vehicle was set to only open the oceanside door. At one point, the vehicle that was set to open each door found that pusing the

oceanside door button in the vehicle opened the bayside door.

The exterior key pads worked intermittently.

The interior push buttons work strangely if they work at all at a particular time.

There is more that I can supply by e-mail.Desired Settlement: I want all features purchased on these doors and door openers with integration with our vehicles to work and to work properly for at least one year.
