Review: On September 19, 2013 [redacted] of J & A Electrical Services LLC was contracted to install a Generac 20kw generator on my property. It was installed with instructions to have maintenance service performed after one year. (they do not service generators, only install) We contracted another company to perform said maintenance in April 2014. During the inspection of the generator it was discovered that it had been wired incorrectly and had not been connected to the main electrical source according to code. The meter seal had been cut and placed back together to look as if it were never touched. It was never called in to be inspected by the State Electrical Inspector as required by Delaware Cooperative. The unit had not run since the date it was installed. It had not even performed the weekly no load tests. We ended up paying an additional $710.00 to have the generator installed correctly and according to code. Certifed letters were sent to [redacted] requesting reimbursement. They have gone unanswered.
