J&J Cleaners has a sign outside Shirts .99 cents

I realize some shirts have to be dry clean but I have been bringing my 100% cotton shirts there for two years and the fee has been .99 cents .

Om Friday 8/** they tried to charge me 3.50 and when I told them the price which I have been paying for two years has been .99 they did not want to hear it .I did not leave my shirts there .

Review: Due to Hurricane Sandy, two dress shirts sustained stains. J & J offered to re-launder them. One of the shirts was a brand new Brooks Brothers shirt (valued at $88) and the other was a Joseph A Banks shirt (valued at $65). After picking up the shirts I discovered that the shirts that were given to us were not the original shirts I had dropped off at the cleaners. The tags from the original shirts had been removed and sewn into different shirts. J & J tried to deceive us by sewing the tags from the original shirts that they ruined, into two other shirts. This was discovered because I took the Brooks Brothers shirt back to the Brooks Brothers store because I thought it was perhaps defective, since it came out of the cleaners in such poor shape (it was dropped off at the cleaners in brand new condition- never worn). To my surprise, Brooks Brothers informed me that the shirt WAS NOT a Brooks Brothers shirt and the tag had been hand sewn into the shirt from my original shirt. After learning this, I checked the remainder of the shirts I had just picked up from J & J and found a second shirt that had been manipulated as well. I brought the shirts back to J & J and asked them to explain what had happened. The owner, [redacted], said he would investigate and get back to me. He took down the information about the shirts and my phone number and has not, to this date, contacted me about this situation. I have the shirts in my possession if evidence of J & J' s deceptive practices are needed.Desired Settlement: Replacement value of the shirts ( $88 & $65)

Since we have no idea of what actually happened we are more than willing to settle this problem. Not everything is always brand new, but we are offering $25.00 a shirt. Our policy is 10x the washing price of $99.00 shirts. Enclosed is a copy of our ticket stating our policy.

Once again I have no idea what happened. I am willing to pay customer 25.00 dollars for a shirt. Our policy is only 10 times cleaning price of. $0.99 equals 10.00 dollars but I am trying my best.

Avoid at all cost, because they will cost you money. Brought a bed comforter in to have it cleaned, when I picked it up and brought it home found that they had torn the comforter and put 8 pins in it. Called them back up and they offered no rebate. They offered to have a seamstress fix it at our cost. Will never do business with them again, and recommend you avoid unless the have money to throw away.
