Review: On Jan 31st 2014 J & J Movers moved me from Kensington NH to Manchester NH, Alot of my things got damaged, a four in gouge on the top of my dryer, scratches all over my coffee table, scratches on other cabinets and furniture, casters on file cabinet broken etc, I called and spoke to [redacted] and he said he would like to speak to his crew and would get back to me the next night, He never did, I left repeated messages and still nothing I then emailed him and sent pictures of some of the damage. After a few days he left me a message saying he would give me $60,, that will not even cover having the coffee table refinished,, I email again and ask for him to call me so we could work this out and he wont answer or return my callsDesired Settlement: I want a fair settlement for my damages, $500 or a call to work it out

The owner called and has refunded the consumer 190.00 on Feb 26, 2014. The check was cashed on March 3, 2014.

Really, really, really bad management team. They quoted at $750 / @6 hours and charged almost twice as much and took twice as long. They also initially said that the travel time was not included, but then added it on because the destination was so far away from Wakefield (1 hour and 15 mins.). The movers were nice kids, but sat around a lot, played on their cell phones and complained on the phone to their boss. They pulled into our house after 10:30 pm (an hour after I did) and unpacked until 1:30 am in the pitch dark. I asked the management for a price concession since it was so expensive, took so long and was incomplete and they said no that it was my fault that I hadn't properly told them what I had in the apartment. When the guys started complaining to their boss on the phone, I asked them if that what I entered on the form was correct compared to what was in the apartment and the team leader said yes, but their manager had lied to them about how much time it would take. Very awkward experience. I really wish I had gone with a different moving company.August 28, 2014 I have received nasty emails from J&J Movers threatening to sue me because of my honest review. Has anyone else received such threats? I have reported them to the MA Attorney General's office of consumer complaints.
