When I scheduled the movers I was clear 2-3 men would be needed to move a large heavy hutch and and 2 bedroom sets The furniture was solid wood and been in my family over 50 years. He said no problem he was experienced and fully insured On the day of the move I didn’t realize it at the time but James never give me a copy of the contract I signed. James brought a with a small young man With to assist him They could not manage the weight of furniture causing significant damage to it the also scratched the hutch and dresser they also got mud all over the mattress and were careless stacking the boxes I did not see the full damage and issues till the next day after I had even given him a tip,, When I called and sent photos of the damage it took several days for him to return my call James immediately hung up on me and blocked me from all future contact my parents knew him from cutting their lawn at the *** James would not take their Calls either I agreed to pay him cash because of him working for my parents for years James Was irresponsible and reckless with something important to me.
I do not have any additional information in this individual. He lives at *** every year approx May to September. During this time he works doing lawn services for many in the community. He did this for my parents for 7 years. He always was paid in cash The got his name from them. There is no last name or other address on the business card. He goes by the name Jay and the card says JAMS MOVING. I Wish I had more. This man caused permanent damage to my furniture which will never be the same. It’s not even about the money it is how he treats people and claims one thing and died another
