I was retained by Mr*** to send a demand letter to his ex-wife Ms*** requesting that she turnover her financial records to evaluate whether or not there were grounds to review the spousal maintenance in his case. Ms*** refused to turnover such records. My letter is
attached to this responseI charged Mr*** $to send this letter. This invoice is attached to this responseI was not hired to do anything other than send this request. There was no further discussion with Mr*** about retaining my services for additional actionIn September I closed my solo law practice. A letter was mailed to each client by my paralegal to the last known address on record. Since closing my office, I’ve continued to maintain my law practice phone line, ###-###-####, which is forwarded to my cell phone. I have not received a call from Mr***. This phone number continues to be fully operational. Since closing my office, I’ve continued to maintain my law practice email address, [email protected]. I have not received an email from Mr***. This email continues to be operationalAs indicated in my office closing letter, a copy of the file can be made upon request. During the course of my representation of Mr*** over the years, he’s received a copy of every document generated or received by my office. If he has not retained those copies, a duplicate file can be made for him, but he will be charged the cost of copies and time to copy. I’m happy to do this upon his request.Jana HEffertz
