stated she was going through her daughters email and was tying up her issues when she saw that she had placed a deposit on this monkey. She called to say that her daughter would not be physically able to care for the monkey as she "wasn't even able to care for herself". After explaining that the deposits were nonrefundable to [redacted] I felt horrible for the situation and for [redacted], told her that I would put the baby back for sale and let her know if it was sold and we could discuss a possible refund, and that I would be willing to help in this situation. Our next phone call a few days later I asked her when the accident happened and she was unable to tell me a specific date. I then asked if she would send me some documentation on the accident, she agreed. She also stated that her daughter was still in intensive care and still in the coma. On April 23rd she emailed me a copy of a very vague medical history that had no information on it. I repeatedly emailed and spoke to [redacted] on the phone asking for any document containing the date of the injury or anything showing she was injured after placing the deposit. She sent me several documents, which contained information on PTSD. On one of her final emails to me she sent me a medical record dated March 23rd, which is BEFORE the date of the deposit placed. I felt that [redacted] was not being truthful and that her daughter had not sustained a traumatic brain injury. I felt sorry for [redacted] and certainly [redacted] at the time I was initially contacted and simply wanted confirmation of the brain injury, which I never received. It is my feeling that [redacted] changed her mind and no longer wanted the marmoset so she enlisted her mother to tell me she sustained the injury when she in fact, had not. She lied because she was aware of my no refund policy on deposits. [redacted] is now apparently fully recovered and able to compose emails and complaints and is not entitled to a refund.
