Here are items that have not been fixed: The degree decorative soffit supports have not been fixed The door stop for the front door is too short to be effective We were told a month or so ago that Riverwood is looking for taller adapter The area in NE part of the yard where it sunk has not been repaired We agreed (with Tony) to wait to to see if it sinks more But for reference this needs to be noted Water leaks into garage under side garage mandoor when it rains The concrete pad outside of the door slants back towards the house We agreed (with Tony) to wait to see if the pad sinks more but that was a month or more ago, so needs to be fixed so that water quits leaking into garage

We have inspected the concrete and also had it inspected by a concrete professionalNothing was found to suggest that the concrete was defective or that it was improperly workedThe concrete certainly doesn’t need to be torn out and replaced as has been requestedAttached are several photos of the concrete driveway taken in June 2017* Please view attached document

I am rejecting this response because:
We will not accept Riverwood’s conclusion, the “broad stroke”
pictures they took of the driveway do not even come close to identifying the
problems with the driveway. The first
picture they submitted is a perfect example how the drive popping up or chipping
away at the surface, doing what the concrete should not be doing! Take a look
at our picture
As for the 2nd picture they submitted, even taken
at their position, if you look closely where the expansion cut and the seam meet
you can easily see the erosion that is going on with the concrete. The second picture that we are submitting will
give you an even better idea what is happening.
The ruler that is in the pictures is 18” long and this will give some
reference as to the size of the damage
The third picture that RW submitted is again many feet away
showing the expansion cuts in the concrete.
Just to the left on the horizontal expansion cut you can see the cement
crumbling. Our picture is even closer and
will show just how much of the concrete is continuously crumbling away, piece
by piece after just ONE year
The fourth picture from Riverwood, if you look along the
vertical seam towards the center you can again see the erosion. Our picture is more up close with the same
problem
The fifth RW picture again shows the crumbling concrete in
both the vertical and horizontal expansion cutsSame as our close ups
The “concrete professional” Riverwood listed is probably the
same guy who did the original work and will not fess up poor workmanship that
has been done at our home. If the work would
have been done correctly in the first place we would not be discussing this in
the first place. With the issues we have
now, what is the driveway going to look like years from now??!! As mentioned before, the sidewalks have not
been affected by the winter and were installed well before our driveway was
installed!!! A good indication that the sidewalks
were installed by someone who knew what he was doing!!
As much as we were hoping NOT to have to go to Small Claims
Court to rectify this problem, so be it.
Currently, this topic is being discussed by several home owners in
several local subdivisions
