Good afternoon Mr. [redacted],              Thank you for your prompt reply to my inquiry. To answer your questions, [redacted], aka Jar Doctor, is in the business of cleaning and repairing antique bottles. He has been in business for many years. I've seen his...

advertisements in bottle related magazines and also heard about his work by word of mouth over the years. My dealings with [redacted] started on November 9, 2011. I sent a box of 14 antique bottles for cleaning, one of which, according to [redacted], broke during shipment. On December 5, 2011 I sent [redacted] 6 more antique bottles for cleaning. He now has in his possession, 20 of my antique bottles. On December 19th, 2011 [redacted] returned 7 of those bottles, cleaned to a very high standard, and I paid [redacted], via PayPal on 12/19/2011 $310.00 plus $23.41 for shipping.  From that date until now, is when things started to take a turn for the worse. I would call every three or four months and would get excuses and I was told of various other "personal mishaps", as to why my bottles were not done. I always had to call [redacted] for updates, he never called me. Fast forward to December 1, 2014. I called [redacted], and at this point I was reaching the end of my rope, and [redacted] said he had five bottles done, one of which he said was now "cracked", and of no use to me in that condition. He wanted to be paid, including for the cracked one, and he would ship those 5 back asap. I sent [redacted], via PayPal $200.00 plus $25.31 for shipping, for the five on 12/1/2014.  When I last talked to [redacted] on 1/14/2015 he promised me that they would ship no later than 1/19/2015, and he would provide me with the details on the shipping method. I have not received any input from [redacted] as of this writing. We are now coming up on sixty days, where he not only has my 13 antique bottles but also in addition $225.31 of my cash.                At this point, I would settle for my 13 antique bottles back, cleaned or un-cleaned, and some sort of reimbursement for my December 1, 2014 $225.31 payment. I hope this gives you a better understanding of my "long distance" dilemma. Thank you, [redacted]
