I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
Messages via text were sent to Mr. Fibish on Jan 18th and Jan 23 reporting to him that the repairs he did during his last work on our roof has still left bare nail heads showing in at least 25 places and that after a rain storm the roof is leaking.   A inappropriate email I received from someone claiming to be a employee of Mr. Fibish indicated that my latest text messages had been received by Mr. Fibish though there has been no further response regarding the problems with the roof.  My home owners insurance company contacted the insurance company Mr. Fibish named as his insurer for Fibish Roofing and was told that they had never insured this company or Mr. Fibish at any time.    This business transaction with Fibish roofing has been a terrible experience for my wife and I.   The letter deliver to Mr. Fibish was clear that he had a limited time to complete repairs to the roof.  Though Mr. Fibish did make an attempt to repair the roof in was incomplete and inadequate to say that the job was complete.  The time for Fibish Roofing to complete this job has expired and we no longer will allow him on our property for any reason.  We are seeking assistance for another roofing company to repair the roof to stop existing leaks and do work to prevent others.

I am writing in response to a complaint posted on Revdex.com in regards to a customer of mine, Mr. and Mrs. [redacted], [redacted] in [redacted] I have numerous pictures, letters, and other forms of proof that show I have made more than adequate attempts at addressing Mr. and Mrs. [redacted]’s concerns and...

demands. I am currently working to make sure all dates I reference are correct, as well as copies of my phone bill to negate statements made against me. There are several conversations that also took place (face to face) that counter what Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] are accusing me of, including several weeks before any work was started. I do not want any inappropriate content posted, so please delete anything that violates your conditions for posting. I was contracted to remove all existing shingles, and replace them with a 30 year, limited lifetime, dimensional shingle; replace any rotted roof decking; replace plumbing vent pipe collars; cut in and install ridge vent across the main roof ridge line; clean up all work related debris, and honor the 10 year workmanship warranty that I included as part of the contract. I finished installing the shingles, and spent a few hours ensuring the yard was free of any trash. I then knocked on the door to inform Mrs. [redacted] that I was done, and to collect final payment. Mrs. [redacted] told me that Mr. [redacted] wanted to look at the roof to make sure I had finished and they would pay me then. Mrs. [redacted] asked me if that was ok, and I told her that I had no problem with Mr. [redacted] looking at the roof, but I would like to be able to give my help what they earned on this job so he could have money before Thanksgiving. After talking to Mr. [redacted] on the phone, Mrs. [redacted] wrote me a check for exactly half the amount due. I asked when Mr. [redacted] would be able to look the roof over, and she told me he would within the next several days.  A few days after Thanksgiving, Mr. [redacted] texted me and said we needed to get together asap to talk about the roof (this was Sunday Nov 27th). I came over, and he asked me to get on the roof with him so we could address his concerns. He asked about a few things, including chimney flashing, nail heads, and the ridge vent. I explained why the flashing was done the way it was, and that I personally cut opening for the ridge vent. Mr. [redacted] pointed out some nails that were not covered with roofing caulk. I told him that I would cover the nails while I was there. After I caulked the exposed nail heads, I spent a good amount of time in their attic to prove the ridge vent was cut out properly (a roof addition did not permit the openings I cut to be seen easily). Mr. [redacted] then asked about the shingle warranty. I told him he could go online, use my name, the dates written on the invoice, and the lot number from the extra shingles I left to sign up for the GAF warranty, which he did on the spot. We went back inside and Mr. [redacted] told me that for peace of mind, he wanted to get an inspector to look at the roof. He said he would try to get that done within the next week. Approximately a week later, Mr. [redacted] said he had the roof inspected by someone (he would not provide the inspector name or report) and read from a notepad the items the inspector thought were inadequate or wrong. He told me that the roof was garbage (used another word). I asked Mr. [redacted] if the roof was leaking anywhere (our area just had 2 severe rain events and we live 2 blocks from each other). He said no. He also said the inspector said the roof would not last a storm, but after his suggested repairs, might last a year. I reminded Mr. [redacted] that I gave him a 10 year warranty (GAF warranty was in addition to mine) and I would honor it. I asked if I could come back when I had more time to look over every aspect of the roof. He said yes. I told him I would try for Saturday of that week. I talked to Mr. [redacted] on the phone the Friday before my intended look over and told him I just couldn’t give his roof an adequate amount of time, and said that I should be able to do it by the following Wednesday. It rained 2 of the days before I wanted to look at his roof, so it pushed back all my work 2 days. That Friday, I received a letter from an attorney stating that an attached list of corrections needed to be made by December 31st 2016. December 26th I spent a full day on his roof, addressing every item on the attorney provided list. Mr. [redacted] came outside while I was there, talked briefly, then went back inside. I than texted Mr. [redacted] after I had completely finished the list and told him I was confident that neither his inspector nor himself, would find any issues on his roof. January 5th, Mr. [redacted] texted me and said an inspector would be out the following Wednesday and he would keep in touch. January 11th, 2017 I got a text from Mr. [redacted] that said “Inspection delayed 1 week due to snow”.  That text was the last contact Mr. [redacted] had with me. No effort was made to call the number on the invoice and/or initial proposal, which is listed as my home number, nor did anyone come knock on the door (brought up because we live a couple blocks away, and on November 5th, Mr. [redacted] knocked on my door, accusing me of wrong doing before work had ever started).  Even now, I am more than willing to make any correction to the roof that is warranted, and not just opinioned.  Fibish Roofing
