Review: The above named company rented a property to me and Leslie the rental agent informed me the property would be clean and all issues needing to be fixed would be done. We signed the lease I recieved my keys on 8/09/13 and there had been no repairs and no cleaning [redacted] of the company informed me, when asked that yes she has moved into a property looking like this before. I have paid then over 3,ooo to move in and was left with no place to live. Then I was informed I could rent a property that was completed and this was agreed by myself and [redacted] that the lease would be drawn up the next day for this new property, and she accepted my key to the initial property to find out the next day [redacted] states this cannot be done. There tactics and practices are apauling and lean toward theft through deception.Desired Settlement: I would like all my moey back so I an find somewhere else to live, as I have no home at this time.

Response:
[redacted] and [redacted] applied at Jason Scott Realty & Management on 7/5/13 for a rental property. Upon our screening process, we found an eviction from 10/18/2011, this requires a double security deposit. [redacted] and [redacted] signed a lease for a property on 7/12/13 with a move in date of 8/1/13. Keys were picked up by the new tenants at their leisure. Upon inspection of the property with the tenants, repairs were found to be needed. Maintenance was sent out the same day to take care of said issues. We offered the tenants prorated rent or to move to a property with the same owner, as the security deposit could then be transferred. [redacted] asked to be refunded her security deposit and rent, she was informed that we could not do this as she signed a binding contract.

Response:
Maintenance was out to the property the same day the property was walked through with the tenant, repairs were made to the property as soon as maintenance could do them. Some of the new flooring did take more than 1 day to complete. We absolutely do not expect to move tenants into a dirty unit, we did offer to prorate rent until you were able to comfortably move your belongings in.
