Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint First of all I contacted the company over a year ago on several occasions they did not return any of my calls It was not this year I was not told that I needed an engineer because that is what [redacted] requires actually this is the first I have heard of that This company did not follow through with what they said they would Again when I contacted the owner, he said that he woul d come out and look at my home again an see if he thought I needed an engineer and never came out This is not how you should do business I will also be contacting the city today to see if that statement about the engineer is true Also the man that said we needed an engineer did not even use any tools to determine the all he did is walk around [Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.] Regards, ***

When Coastal Bend Foundation originally met with Ms. [redacted] we explained the repairs the home would need to have a stabilized
foundation. Coastal Bend Foundation explained for the best results the home
would need to have exterior piers...

installed on the entire perimeter of the
home. At the time Ms. [redacted] only wanted Coastal Bend to do the garage area
(11 piers), and would have the rest of the home (24 piers) done at a later time.  Coastal Bend Foundation did the repairs to
the home on September 2011.  We have not received
any warranty issues with the 11 piers that Coastal installed around the garage
area.
Ms. [redacted] contacted us early this year to price having
the rest of the home worked on. Coastal met with Ms. [redacted] and informed
her she would need an engineer to look at her home. The [redacted] has
implemented a permitting process for foundation work. The city now requires an
engineered plan to be submitted with the permit. Only a licensed engineer can
do this paper work. We gave Ms. [redacted] a few names of engineers that have
done work for us in the past.  We are
sorry to hear how unhappy Ms. [redacted] is with the work Coastal did, but
Coastal Bend Foundation will not take any short-cuts when it comes to our
customers homes. We will always abided by all rules and regulations that the
county and city has implemented for their area.
Coastal Bend performed all the work under the original
contract and was paid in full. There have been no problems or complaints since
2011. If Ms. [redacted] would have got us the engineer report we requested we
would have been glad to price her new work.
