Note from Revdex.com: Please refer to attachment for pictures.1)     Regarding the 2nd complaint listed by Mr. [redacted] regarding a replacement bench seat (1st paragraph, lines 5-8).  While it is true that I requested that he find a replacement seat, he injected that the seat damage was due to weathering and I never said that!  In fact, the reason the seat was damaged, as I explained to him, was because boat riders would constantly step onto the seat bench when entering or exiting the boat which eventually caused the bench portion of the seat to crack/tear.  The remainder of the bench seat was in excellent condition and neither the seats nor any other portion of the boat had any weather damage (see Pictures).2)     Regarding line 10-13 of his comments.  Mr. [redacted], nor anyone else at Jasper Outboard Sales and Service ([redacted]), had ever contacted me to give me a status of the repair job during this whole ordeal.  I always had to call [redacted] to find out.  3)     After I original complained about the console on August 27, 2015 and sent him pictures of the boat console and steering wheel (depicting the contrast of the console before and after delivering to them on July 6, 2015) Mr. [redacted] verbally agreed to replace the console at his cost.  A month went by and I never heard from him so on Oct 8, 2015, my wife and I drove to Jasper, TX, to [redacted]’s shop and confronted Mr. [redacted] who said he couldn’t find the part and now refuses to compensate me for it or fix it….all the while laughing at me when I was very irritated by his lack of caring.  When we got home, my wife was easily able to find NEW replacement parts on the internet and thus the cost that I quoted earlier. Regarding lines 10-11, [redacted] never called me to inform me that the console was not available.4)     Also, it was when I originally spoke to Mr. [redacted] (when I dropped the boat off on July 6, 2015) and I asked if he could replace the bench portion of the seats.  He told me THEN that the bench seats may not be available because of the boats age (although he said it was possible to get it because it was such a popular boat).   Afterwards I called Bass Pro Shop in Katy, Texas (where I purchased the boat) to see if I could buy the seat from them and they said no.5)     Regarding lines 24-26, there is ample photographic evidence that the original console and steering wheel was removed and replaced by someone while my boat was in their possession from July 6-August 27 of 2015.  For Mr. [redacted] to deny this is preposterous because of a simple observation:   Mr. [redacted] had my entire boat at his shop.  Looking at the picture (attached) It shows the current condition of the steering console.  Note the cover around the steering wheel is cracked and weathered and yet the remainder of the console is prestine.   Is Mr. [redacted] trying to tell me and the Revdex.com that the laws of physics and weathering only applies to the console cover and not the remainder of the console or the entirity of the boat for that matter (see remaining current pictures)?6)     I’m not complaining about the work that [redacted] did to my boat engine, I have had his company perform work on it before, taking many weeks to perform, without incident.  I’m complaining that [redacted] allowed obvious damage to my boat to occur while in their possession and then claiming that it was my fault which was lunatic.

Mr. [redacted] delivered his boat for repair and service to his Mercury outboard, on July 6, 2015. We expressed to Mr. [redacted] that the repairs would take approximately one month, as we were going through a busy season. The first  complaint was, motor starts will not plane which is causing motor...

to smoke. Second complaint we were asked to call Tracker Marine to see if we could get a replacement bench seat for Mr. [redacted], because his were damaged due to weather. We contacted Tracker Marine and they informed us due to the age of the boat the replacement seats were no longer available. We then contacted Mr. [redacted] to inform him that the replacement bench seat was no longer available due to the age of the boat. He stated that he was already aware the seats were no longer available through Tracker Marine. First complaint we diagnosed engine to have a bad ignition coil, which we then replaced. Also we serviced the motor by changing spark plugs, fuel filter, and lower unit oil. We only worked on the outboard engine itself. After the repairs were complete, we contacted Mr. [redacted] to come pick up his boat. When customer picked up his boat, he then complained someone changed his plastic dash shroud. We never on that part of his boat. His dash was just faded due to the summer heat. We did contact Tracker Marine to see if a new console was available, but due to the age of the boat the replacement console was no longer available. There is no evidence to support that Jasper Outboard Sales & Service tampered with Mr. [redacted]'s boat in anyway. We only did what repairs and service we were asked to do. Thanks,[redacted]
