Larry stopped by the customer house and is working with them to get Alside to cover product

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
Collingwood made no attempt to remedy the problem The water entering the house was a result of poor craftsmanship and work on their part when installing the new roof The comments made in Collingwoods response hold no merit I did not see a picture attached to Collingwoods reply The door was opened when I was showing the worker where the problem in question was when he arrived The mentioned door is attached to a bedroom with no reason for anyone to access it during winter month The balcony is more of a cosmetic feature of the home with minimal usefulness There are no stairs leading to the ground level or any other access points to this balcony allowing for any sort of traffic on the balcony.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me, provided the business follows through on its promise to address the issue once the weather improves in the spring.

The weather has been relatively nice so of course it is not currently leaking Your responsiveness was not satisfactory in February when the issue was at its peak

something needs to be done to resolve the issue. This may involve contacting a representative from Alside, the manufacturer of the siding product. The problem has not been resolved, but it appears we are making progress in that direction. We are awaiting a definite plan of action.Regards, [redacted]

WE WILL HAVE SOMEONE THERE TO INSPECT THE PROBLEM TODAY, MONDAY, NOV, 7, 2016.BETWEEN 1 & 4 PM.

[redacted]:On December 1. 2014 Collingwod & [redacted] signed a contract for work to start approximately December 8, 2014 and completion approximately December 12, 2014 weather permitting. That week we had over 5" of snow. We called them every day to keep them informed. On Monday December 9th they called and stated because we were not there they wanted there money back. They were informed they had 3 days to cancel and there contract states weather permitting. [redacted] made many nasty calls to my office. Finally on December 17th I gave them 2 choice's either have there roof done that next 2 days refund them $1,950.00 once they let us pick up the material and signed a general release. They choice to be refunded the $1,950.00. I meet with them today to have them sign the release so we could pick up the material since Mrs. Bluestein threaten to call the police on us if we came for it any earlier. I can't believe that I h'IVe to sit with this on our record when they didn't even give us a chance to start the job.If you have any questions pleas!! call my office at ###-###-####Sincerely,[redacted]Office Manager

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. No reason to try and slander us.  It is just dishonest to try to make it appear that we did not show up for our meeting.  My husband (the other signatory on the contract), took the afternoon off work and was waiting at the house when Collingwood arrived.  The owner spoke with him about the situation and went into our back yard to take pictures.  My husband has been intimately involved in the whole situation from the  beginning, meeting the first person who came out to assess the situation and he spoke with the owner on the phone twice.  Next, Collingwood continues to use technical jargon the try to confuse the situation.  We do not have a leak in our furnace pipe (HVAC) and we are not asking for work on our furnace pipe.  The seperate flange component which seals under the shingles and around the furnace pipe is the problem.  Collingwood's sales person assured us the leak issue would be resolved with new seals around the pipes protruding from the roof.  The contract states Collingwood would supply and install new pipe boots and flashing.  I understood that to mean around all roof pipes/protrusions, no exception were given. Finally, I don't appreciate being characterized as a liar regarding the evolution of the leak.  We have had 3 contractor look at that leak before Collingwood performed the roof replacement.  The first,  came solely to qoute on a repair of the component involved and advised us that since roof replacement was eminent it would make sense to wait until the roof was replaced to fix it. The other 2 provided qoutes on the roof replacement.  Not to mention, the previous owners were aware of the leak as they started the practice of placing a container in the crawl space to catch the water.  So, several people can confirm the leak has existed since we bought the house. We cannot have a constructive discourse if Collingwood continue to try to distract.  The point is Collingwood's sales person assured us that new seals would resolve the issue and wrote language in the contract that required them provide new seals.  Collingwood did not provide new seals. At this point it seems likely that we will need to hire someone else to complete the work.  We will also take the next legal steps to recoup costs.Regards,[redacted]

Collingwood Construction set up a visit with this customer, however upon arriving she was not there. Please note the time we took today to revisit the Issue with respect to the windstorm of March 8, 2017 in which a branch pieced the storm collar of the vent that exhausts the toxic byproducts of combustion to the outside via the roof. We again cannot beheld responsible for weather related issues. We recommend that an evaluation and any necessary corrections be made by a qualified HVAC contractor However, if a problem with the roof materials and product manufactured by[redacted] and installed by Collingwood Construction should ever become an issue, please feel free to contact us or [redacted] as outlined in the contract and warranty provided.Thank you,Lawrence [redacted] President

Is the area still leaking? If so please call me at ###-###-#### so I can come out to see the leak to evaluate?

On April 21, 2017, we were called in to repair a leak on a roof we did in 2015. Weinformed the customer there would be no charge if it was a work related issue. However, when we arrived to make the repair we informed the customer that the collar and neckaround the prefabricated HVAC insulated vent...

unit which comes up from the cellar and sits2.5 - 3' above the roof, had been pierced by a branch and a picture was given to thecustomer. We advised Mr. [redacted] that we would make a temporary repair and also made it clearthat the hole had nothing to do with the job we did for them in 2015. They asked us to getoff their roof and leave.Sincerely,Nicole [redacted]Office Manager
