I have been trying to reach *** *** for the past week and have left messages for her to call me so we could discuss what happened and try to come to a resolution, but she has not accepted my calls or returned them.So I can only state the facts.*** did bring the car in with two issues, I was
standing there when my manager checked them in and I overheard the conversation***, my manager, took their information and she told *** that the car would not start at times and the key would not turn in the ignition at times*** told her it would probably take some time to figure out what was wrong and that we would no doubt have to be taking some things apartWhat would she be comfortable pre-approving to get started? She said $*** said great, we'll get started on it right away and call you when we know what's wrong. The technician disassembled the steering column and the ignition lock cylinder and cleaned it and found that the cylinder was extremely worn and would need to be replaced and possibly the housing tooHe then Scanned the computer for codes and found codes Pfor a large evap leak and code Pfor a problem with the oil pressure switch circuitHe did the research to make sure neither of these codes could cause a no start condition and found they would notHe then removed the spark plugs and checked the gap and found the plugs were worn, the gap should have been and the worn plugs showed a gap of .070. The tech turned in his paperwork as he had used up all of the time that was allotted and *** called *** and reported what was found and what it would cost to replace the lock cylinder and perform a tune up on the enginePlease see notes on conversation on inv# ***.At no additional charge, the tech lubricated the lock cyl and put everything back together and reported that the lock cylinder worked considerably better, but he still recommended replacement of the cyland re installed the old spark plugs.*** came in and picked up the car and paid the billI was there and walked thru the lobby while she was paying her bill and she said nothing that she was upset about the process at the time and appeared to be in a good mood. I attached our copy of the invoice that shows the notes containing the conversations between *** and ***(Every time we have a conversation with a customer, notes are entered into their account.)I also attached copies of invoices from her other visits to our shopI highlighted the parts of the invoices that show that *** does in fact pay for inspections and diagnostics and she has done so on every visitAnd all of the invoices show a no charge courtesy inspection and a no charge battery test. The charges she paid were not for the courtesy inspection, they were for diagnostics and work performed, that she approved. The courtesy inspection is something we do on every car, every time it comes inIt is an added benefit for the customer so they always know the condition of the car, and is a layer of protection for usExample: If their ball joint was ready to break and we didn't inspect the car while it was in the shop and it broke shortly after the car left and someone got hurt, who's fault would that be? As automotive professionals, we feel it is our duty to look out for our customer. If there are any questions, please fell free to ask

The phone number that was called was the number listed in the complaint and that the shop has on file for herAs to the inspection or diagnostics, there is a difference between inspecting and diagnosingThe problems with this vehicle could not be determined with a simple FREE inspection.Diagnostics were needed to be performed in order to find out what needed to be repairedThis was clearly explained to her when the vehicle was dropped offThe vehicle was taken from the shop with repairs not completed because the customer refused to authorize the repair, not because we couldn't or didn't repair it. This doesn't appear to be a problem with our business practice, but most likely a problem between a customer and an employeeIt is my understanding that Ms*** had an issue with this employee when he was working at a different service garage in the pastIf Ms*** would have come to me first, I would have taken action to resolve this immediatelyHer attempt to discredit the business and cause thousands of dollars of damage by posting damaging claims on social media and posting negative reviews about the company is completely unfair and unnecessary. If Ms*** doesn't see the value in the work we perform, I will gladly refund her money in exchange for retraction or repair of these reviews and comments.Good communication is the key to getting good resultsI welcome a face to face meeting with Ms***She only needs to call and make an appointment with me
