Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: I was unable to attach files for some reason to my initial filing of our complaint to the Revdex.com I see now that I can do this I am attaching a copy of our original letter to Jaz Elite I am also attaching their email response to that letter and my reply to that I am also attaching the two estimates that we were provided by Jaz Elite before we proceeded to finance the rebuild And last I am attaching a copy of the Ford Diagnostics we had done just days before handing the truck over to Jaz Elite. Please read all the attachments as you will not get any better of an explanation on what we have experienced than that.Scott keeps saying that the high pressure oil pump was part of the original bid As you can see this was never listed on any of the estimates and was never mentioned at all until we were already supposed to have our truck sitting in our driveway as we were told it was ready to go Either way on June 3rd when we went into the shop and had a discussion with Manager Josh we did tell them not to do any more work until we knew how much it was going to cost and so that we could figure out how we were going to pay for it as it sounded before even receiving a bid it was going to be thousands more than we had already spent Josh said he would get that estimate for us, and speak with his manager to see if there were any financing or payment options that we could work out HE NEVER EVEN ATTEMPTED TO GET A HOLD OF US!!! It was days later that we finally sat down in frustration and wrote our initial letter Why would we give the go ahead to continue work on the truck until we knew what we are going to have to pay for? The engine has already been taken apart twice by the mechanics, once for the initial rebuild and once after the discovery that the crank needed to be replaced They have told us that the High Pressure Oil pump is not part of the rebuild, however, they say they included it on the estimates We just don't understand where their claims are coming from On top of that Josh initially and specifically said he didn't think the High pressure Oil pump was going to fix the problem and it has taken weeks for him to come to the decision that he does think its the issue AND he also told us he thinks that may just be a minimum???? You will see many claims in reading our correspondence that I have had to address because they don't make sense to us In his email he even said we owe them for the install of our alternator and battery and when I asked for a bill because we never received one, I hear nothing back And now when reading his response to the Revdex.com he is accusing us of fraud? What in the world is he talking about? When Josh told us we had to wait for the warranty company to give us the money we said OK The Warranty company said they will not write that check until the truck has been repaired and the customer has the truck back We received the check because Jaz Elite told them our truck was done and being returned to us but it was not done The check engine light came on How is this fraud on our part? As you will see in our correspondence because I have already explained this to Scott, Josh told us they would give that difference back to us before we handed them the check from our bank He was obviously misinformed and when he told us we would actually get it back from the warranty company we waited for our money Also in this response to the Revdex.com, unless I am not understanding him correctly, he is saying that the knocking sound diagnosed by his mechanics when they came out was, "non the wrist pin"? I understand that after the initial rebuild they think the crank caused the wrist pin issue but all the same Josh told us YES its the wrist pin when he sat at my front door to explain what they found during their diagnostics in my drive way Again if I am misunderstanding him again in his response to the Revdex.com he makes it sound like there is still a charging system issue? If that is in fact what he is saying, that is the first we have heard of that since they replaced the alternator and battery we provided which we were told fixed that issue And we have never recorded any of our phone conversations but do have access to record of of all our calls to and from Elite and all Text messages The only thing we recorded was our in person conversation with Josh on June 3rd when we went into the shop Sincerely, [redacted]

First I did not get the original email I am sorry for the late response. I will get everything put together from her dispute with American express and her insurance company which both were denied. I will respond but need a couple hours to get all texts and emails together. But this last dealing she...

voided the warranty but taking the truck to not 1 but a couple mechanics. She then calls telling me that the truck has a cracked head so we I send a tech to wyoming to pick up the truck. When the tech gets there her son tells Josh that it has a torn head gasket. So this is friday we pick up the truck. She tells me she has to have it back monday. So I get a new head for a code for #8 cylinder miss fire. First our warranty is clear that if taking vehicle to be looked at we need to be contacted or warranty is voided. She tells me that the invoice is in the truck which was not true. I texted her and she sends me a pencil written comment from a auto shop called [redacted] on a torn piece of paper. I  myseld and Josh tried to get ahold of this shop that does not exsist. So I myself spent the weekend replacing the passenger side head and we drove it 250 plus miles no codes. And the head gasket was in good condition. So Josh takes the trick back and dropped the truck off before 6 am. I told him and this is all in texts to leave the keys in fuel door and come back. We do not knock on doors or call before 8 am out of courticy. I then get a call within a couple hours that the check engine light came on, I said no way. I then got an [redacted] print out of the code and it is the same code.I then sent her a list of 20 plus other possabile issues that are electrical that have NOTHING to do with the engine build. She starts screaming and cursing that she is getting a lawyer and wants her money back. The next day I get the removed head back and there are zero issues with it. The the miss fire can be anything from computer to o2 sensors ect. So I then get a call fron another tech from tremonton Ut that says he is looking at the truck for a girl looking to buy the truck in logan. Then [redacted] tells me that they were on morgan and the guy looking at it was looking to buy it. And he tells me that this code is usually an internal engine issue. Then I an trying to talk to her about it and she says he just happens to be a mobile mechanic but for got his scanner in Tremonton and he is going to get it. But I myself and Josh have tried to call him 3-4 times a piece with no answer. This isssue if ther is one is not the engine that was built. I will respond again with all the correct attachments and copies of everything from American Express, Her insurance company and all texts plus all emails if needed. So after threatening lawyers I had everything reviewed by a paralegal they said the warranty has been voided and I have spent more than 1200.00 replacing a head the was fine. and they didnt follow threw with our warranty system. But the cursing and telling us how dumb and stupid we are put phone communication to an end. This is a bogus claim, American Express and her insurance company denied her as well.

I am rejecting this response because:  These are all lies I never yelled or cursed him on the phone I told him I was very disappointed in there business skills that when the truck was brought back to us they didn't even come to door to give me keys or show us what was done to it they tried to say it was dropped off before we were up I get up at 6 my husband is up at 530 he leaves for work at 630 and the truck was not there I open my business at 7 truck was not there it showed up at 710 after my first child was dropped off for daycare the parent seen him just drive off. I felt that was in professional. As far as warranty we DID NOT VOID warranty we were trying to sale the truck a lady came to look at the truck and brought her mechanic
To look at it he did NO work on it he read codes cause check engine light kept coming in after having it in to be fixed and showing cylinder 8 misfires he said what he seen and believed to be wrong with it that's when I called and they said they would pick truck up in morning and put two new heads on cylinder 8 and have truck back to us Monday we got truck back my son drove it to school that morning a mile and half from.our house and light came on again and truck was ideling really rough I called again and have been given the run around every sence saying u voided warranty ect and that they would get back to me on what they wanted to do to fix problem.and still have heard nothing I don't see how you can say we voided warranty when NO work has been done in truck other than by you. There is still oil leaking ect.
Sincerely,

The Customer expressed to me that they record every phone call. Our conversation on June 17th indicated that I would call them by Monday morning at the latest and would try to get ahold of them on Sunday, I was called out on fathers day to help a stranded motor home that has lost its fuel pump and...

the family was trying to get home and was not able to get ahold of them until Monday. The Truck was Picked up from their home after the truck had been diagnosed by 2 of my diesel technicians prior to pick up of the vehicle , verified that there was light white smoke at start up and upon the vehicle reaching operating temp would smoke heavliy white smoke and engine knock was able to be heard non as a wrist pin. With these know factors check engine lights would be expected Active, or pending. the 2 check engine lights that were on the system were codes for a cylinder 7 glow plug ciruit and a cylinder contribution code for cylinder 6. After the estimates for the rebuild were givine to the customer the truck was picked and returned to the shop to begin the rebuild process. Two estimates were given to the customer for different levels of builds One was for a top level or full Rebuild which includes all engine internals,  fuel injectors, High pressure oil pump, egr cooler kit, and turbo charger. WHich was immidiatly denied due to the cost and would not be able to finance the repair through their bank. The second estimate was for a basic engine rebuild which includes pistons, bearings, gaskets, seals and orings rings and is basic. The only addition to the basic build was the Egr cooler kit due to the fact that the egr is a common failure on this particular engine. The basic build was authorized with after the conversation about the possiblity of old injectors and old high pressure oil pump, and old turbo charger as well as old glow plugs, The integrety of these parts could be issues due to the metal and debris in the engine oil . Customer declined all additions due to multiple conversations on how they could not afford it. The truck is done the engine noise is taken care of and has been done ready for pick up for 2 months.  Due to multiple conversations about the issues with the truck currently being the charging system and the issue with the high pressure oil pump. The customer wants us to warrnty the work they declined upfront and refuses topick up the truck until we fix what they refused. We are more than willing to help with the situration but the conversations are "you will" fix the truck, "we won't pay for it and "if you dont we are calling ghepthart and are suing as well as contacting the Revdex.com. As for the $3000 the customer went to the bank to repair their truck, Had the check written to us for the repairs. Then in some way wanted us to write them a check for $3000 even though their warranty company was going to send them a check for $3000 under their warranty on the truck. This sounds like a fradulent situation that is happening all across the United States, I'll mail you a check you for $10,000 and you send me $3000 cash and you keep the rest. No company conducts business like this and if that were the case the check should have been written in their name to begin with. I've attached a copy of my original response to [redacted] and [redacted] to their original threat that was sent certified mail.
