Jazz A Louisiana Kitchen Reviews (1)
I ate at this establishment on 10/25/2013. I paid my bill using my debit card for the amount of 25.50 with the tip. The original total of the bill was 21.50 before tip. When I checked my account two days later I saw that I was charged 25.50 twice by this establishment. I proceeded to file a claim with my bank about the double charge. After talking with my bank they informed me it would take 7 to 10 business days to investigate the double charge. After about a week my bank contacted me on 11/5/13 to tell me that I was in fact double charged and that they were going to credit my account the 25.50 overcharge. After talking with my bank on the afternoon of the 5th of November I tried to use my debt card a few times and all the transactions were being denied. I then contacted my bank later on in the evening of the 5th to notify them about the issues with my debit card. They in turn notified me that the Jazz, A Louisiana kitchen had tried to charge my card again the day of the 5th of November so my bank had shut the debit card off. When talking with my bank earlier in the afternoon they failed to notify me that the card had been shut off. How would the restaurant be able to charge my card two weeks after I had eaten there if someone didn't have my credit card number?Desired SettlementNo settlement required, I just want them to be looked at because someone at the restaurant had to have written my credit card number down in order to try and recharge the card almost two weeks after I had eaten there. I feel like I may have been a victim of credit card theft.Business Response We apologize for the inconvenience, we are aware you dined with us at 6.51pm on 10/14 and your card was indeed charged twice on 10/26 as did most of our clients for 10/14. What happened was our systems were down on 10/14 while we switched merchant services companies. Once our systems came back up, merchant support accidentally submitted the credit card batches twice for that day. We have contacted our merchant services company to make sure that your credit card ending in [redacted] would be issued a credit for that amount and they have confirmed your card would be issued a credit for the double charge of 25.50. We sincerely apologize and hope you understand.Jazz - A Louisiana Kitchen.
