Review: My credit card was run and a receipt did not print out. The employee was not sure if it went through so it was run again with the same results. Another employee came over and said that she was not sure if the transaction had gone through but we could check our credit card statement at a later date and just cancel the transaction. Fortunately my wife checked the statement online before we left the store because both transactions had gone through. When we informed the second employee of this she insisted that there was no way she could refund our money. After contacting our credit card company they told the employee that they needed their merchant ID number to refund our credit card. Neither employee knew what it was so the manager was called at home. I personally talked t the manager who seemed to be very aggravated that she was called. As I was being handed the phone I could hear her yell "don't put the customer on the phone". After a 10 minute conversation I was guaranteed that the issue would be resolved at the start of the business week. I gave them all the information they needed to accomplish this. After I realized later that week that the money had not been credited to the account I called the corporate office who informed me that they heard about the issue but none of my information had been passed on. The office was very professional and resolved the issue. The first employee I dealt with was very helpful and apologetic while the second employee and manger I spoke to had no customer service skills and made my wife and myself feel like we had done something wrong. I have worked in customer service for over 15 years, first in the restaurant business and now as a county employee and I know that if I were to treat a customer this I would be looking for a new job. I understand that they have a no return/refund policy and I had no problem with this but to treat someone the way my wife and myself were treated is just bad business.Desired Settlement: The woman at the corporate office handled the matter very professionally so no settlement is needed.
