We are sorry to hear [redacted] is having such a long list of repairs to her vehicle As a NYS Motor Vehicle dealer we are required to have all vehicles we sell be inspected by a licensed motor vehicle repair shop for safety performance emissions, at that time we also have them address any other issues pertaining to the operation and reliability of the vehicle The NYS repair shop risks their license to be neglectful in their duty if they were to miss something We would still be responsible to have the issue addressed or risk out own license We have been in business for years because we sell reliable used cars at value prices We had this vehicle NYS safety and emissions inspected and they certify for us that the vehicle is safe and in good operating condition and without issue of reliability If this or any other customer were to return to us with a vehicle that needed the repairs claimed in the time frame claimed we would have had those issues addressed without question We believe that she was taken advantage of by an unscrupulous repair shop, not only once but continually We believe the the tires, rear brakes, serpentine belt and tensioner were in good condition as they are part of the NYS Safety inspection and did not need to be replaced We believe that if these issues were present weeks after purchase the customer would have brought the car to us to address these issues, where we could see the parts that we and the independent repair shop have been accuse of neglecting To address them months after purchase is most unreasonable and suspicious We find that after $spent at his repair shop, the check engine light came back on then they replaced the sensor and re-programmed for over another $ It still comes back on and they want another $ That should be an obvious indication of what and who is wrong here First it does sound like there is a small evap leak that is causing the check engine light to come on Usually this is a simple smoke test to fix a very inexpensive It may take time and effort form the repair shop and they won't make a lot of money but that's part of their business A small evap leak is causing the light to come on is not uncommon You can drive the vehicle for hundreds of thousands of miles and it will make no difference with the operation of the vehicle The sensitivity of the evap system is a manufacturer issue along with NYS Legislators having such strict emissions controls on cars that don't cost over $30, We would have liked to address these issues when they were present After giving thousands of dollars to who we believe to be an unscrupulous repair shop we suggest [redacted] seek refunds from this alleged repair shop It also sounds like they are inexperienced in dealing with warranties, your ABS system is covered under warranty and your deductable is $ Perhaps they have it ,like everything else, backwards

In regards to Mrs*** complaint, the vehicle as in excellent running condition when it was soldIt's apparent they ran the vehicle out of oil causing motor damageI would suggest they bring the vehicle back to the repair shop that made the initial repairPerhaps it was not repaired correctly
or mis-diagnosed by the repair facility. Our dealership honors New York State warranty for days or miles only. However we do offer extended warranties which they declinedIt sounds like a component on the vehicle failed, as they drove it four months without incidentThey brought vehicle to a shop and it was not repaired correctlyI am sorry for their misfortune, but unfortunately machines breakI wish they had called us when the repair happened and we could have referred them to a facility who works exclusively on fords and would have warrantied the repairJB Auto sales is not liable for part failure

We are sorry to hear [redacted] is having such a long list of repairs to her vehicle.  As a NYS Motor Vehicle dealer we are required to have all vehicles we sell be inspected by a licensed motor vehicle repair shop for safety performance emissions, at that time we also have them address any other...

issues pertaining to the operation and reliability of the vehicle.  The NYS repair shop risks their license to be neglectful in their duty if they were to miss something.  We would still  be responsible to have the issue addressed or risk out own license.  We have been in business for 21 years because we sell reliable used cars at value prices.  We had this vehicle NYS safety and emissions inspected and they certify for us that the vehicle is safe and in good operating condition and without issue of reliability.  If this or any other customer were to return to us with a vehicle that needed the repairs claimed in the time frame claimed we would have had those issues addressed without question.  We believe that she was taken advantage of by an unscrupulous repair shop, not only once but continually.  We believe the the 4 tires, rear brakes, serpentine belt and tensioner were in good condition as they are part of the NYS Safety inspection and did not need to be replaced.  We believe that if these issues were present 3 weeks after purchase the customer would have brought the car to us to address these issues, where we could see the parts that we and the independent repair shop have been accuse of neglecting.  To address them 13 months after purchase is most unreasonable and suspicious.  We find that after $900 spent at his repair shop, the check engine light came back on then they replaced the sensor and re-programmed for over another $1000.  It still comes back on and they want another $900.  That should be an obvious indication of what and who is wrong here.  First it does sound like there is a small evap leak that is causing the check engine light to come on.  Usually this is a simple smoke test to fix a very inexpensive .  It may take time and effort form the repair shop and they won't make a lot of money but that's part of their business.  A small evap leak is causing the light to come on is not uncommon.  You can drive the vehicle for hundreds of thousands of miles and it will make no difference with the operation of the vehicle.   The sensitivity of the evap system is a manufacturer issue along with NYS Legislators having such strict emissions controls on cars that don't cost over $30,000.  We would have liked to address these issues when they were present.  After giving thousands of dollars to who we believe to be an unscrupulous repair shop we suggest [redacted] seek refunds from this alleged repair shop.  It also sounds like they are inexperienced in dealing with warranties,  your ABS system is covered under warranty and your deductable is $100.  Perhaps they have it ,like everything else, backwards.
