This letter is in response to the complaint filed against JB'S Roofing, Incby *** ***.*** *** contacted JB'S Roofing, Incon 12/4/Upon observing the roof, Ron told *** that his shingleslooked to be in good shape and that there was life in his shinglesThere was not any conversation
about theroof being in good conditionRon tried to explain to *** that if we did go in and just do a repair, we would placeIce & Water shield on the eves and pull the first courses of shingles around entire outside perimeter of theroofRon stated that we have done this repair previously on other roofs and that it had worked in the pastRondid not guarantee that it would work 100%On 12/9/JB'S Roofing gave *** a bid for a complete re-roof tototal $And a repair bid for $(See Attached)Aiso, please note on the back of the contract itclearly states in our standard Warranty that we do not guarantee partial roofs or repairs.*** had originally wanted us to do the complete re-roof and then decided that it was too much money for himat this time and decided to go with the repair.JB'S Roofing completed the repair work on 2/18/*** did pay us on 2/23/in full for the repair of $2205.00.*** contacted JB'S Roofing on 3/16/due to the area still leaking after a rain stormJB'S Roofing sent guysout on 3/19/to try to remedy the issueJB'S Roofing was contacted again by *** on 4/13/due to the areastill leaking after a rain stormJB'S Roofing sent guys out again on 4/16/to try to remedy the problemagain*** contacted JB'S Roofing on 5/7/ and asked if he could have his money back, Ron told him that wewould come out and look at the roof again and see if we could figure out what was causing the leaking tocontinueJB'S Roofing sent guys out on 5/15/Upon looking further up on the roof it appears that there i~some sheathing that is not secured and the water is running under the valley metal and down to the repair area.The ice & water shield that JB'S Roofing installed could not be put under the valley metal, due to the fact thatthe valley and all the shingles in that area would have to be pulled completely out.*** came into JB'S Roofing on 6/4/and asked Ron for his money back againRon explained what we hadfound and informed *** that he needed to do a complete reroof to remedy the problemRon agreed to creditthe cost of the repair of $towards a complete re-roof(See Attached)*** asked Ron if he could guarantee that it would stop leaking if he did the complete re- roofRon explained to*** that if there is a problem after the complete tear off and re-roof that JB'S roofing will warranty the roof for 2years, against any issues, which is JB'S Roofing's standard warranty.On 6/10/his daughter contacted JB'S Roofing and stated that they were going to go to the news station andshe was told to do what they needed to do.*** contacted the Idaho Press Tribune twice and they published it in the Cheers & Jeers section.*** also contacted KBOI Channel news and there was a story done on 9/22/Due to t he fact that JB'SRoofing had held up our end of the contract that *** signed, and in regards to the warranty stating JB'S Roofingdoes not guarantee partial roofs or repairsThe news channel was not legally able to ment ion JB'S Roofing asthe contractor.Ron also contacted a lawyer on this issue before channel ran this story and the lawyer co ntacted the newschannel and spoke to them about harassment and deformation of character against JB'S Roofing.In regards to *** filing this claim with the Revdex.com, JB'S Roofing again is being attacked publiclyfor deformation of reputation, and it appears that JB'S roofing is trying to take advantage of a se nior cit izen.Ron does not want this to go against our A+ rating with the Revdex.com do to the fact t hat wefulfilled our contract and JB'S roofing does not fell that it is our faultJB'S Roofing feels that we have goneabove and beyond our responsibility to remedy this problem.JB'S Roofing was willing to go in the red on this job to remedy the issue but however *** refused our se rvices.Please contact Ron on this as soon as possible to discuss.Thank You,Dee Dee P***Office Manager

I am rejecting this response because:December - Contacted Ron C*** at J.B.'s Roofing regarding roof leaking at *** * *** *** *** Roof was inspected by Ron C*** and I was told roof was in good condition and only needed to have the Ice & Water Shield on eves removed and a replaced with a new one which would remedy the leak Received contract and agreement dated 12/9/which details the work to be completed that was signed and agreed upon by both parties (see attached).• 2/18/- work completed by JB Roofing• 2/23/- invoice paid in full by check $2205• Rain storm - roof still leaking as before any work was completed so I notified JB Roofing• 3/23/- JB Roofing came back - said they would be back later• 3/31/- I called JB Roofing again to follow up as I had not heard anything• 4/4/- I called JB Roofing again to follow up as I still have not heard anything• 4/6/- I called JB Roofing again to follow up as I still have not heard anything• 4/7/- JB Roofing came out and looked at the roof• 4/9/- JB Roofing come out and applied some sealant• Rain storm - roof still leaking as before any work was completed• 4/13/- I called JB Roofing as roof leaked and original issues was not fixed as agreed upon• 4/23/- I called JB Roofing again to follow up as I had not heard anything• 4/24/- JB Roofing come out at looked at roof again• 4/29/- I called JB Roofing again to follow up as I had not heard anything• 5/7/- I called JB Roofing and asked for money back as original issue identified and agreed to be fixed was not remedied.• 5/14/- JB Roofing come out and looked a roof• 5/18/- I called JB Roofing to follow up on request as I had not heard anything• 5/27/- I called JB Roofing again to follow up on request as I had not heard anything He stated he would call me back however I did not hear anything.• 6/4/- JB Roofing sent communication that roof needs to be replaced at a cost of $8428• 6/10/- Daughter (***) called and spoke with Debbie at JB Roofing to inquire on status and share frustration with situation and refusal to make situation right When she asked what could be done to come to agreeable solution Debbie stated to do what we felt like we had to do and hung up. • 6/10/- submitted Cheers & Jeers write up submitted to Idaho Press Tribune• 6/15/- Printed Cheers & Jeers article in Idaho press Tribune• 9/2/- submitted Cheers & Jeers write up to Idaho Press Tribune• 9/7/- Second Cheers & Jeers article printed in Idaho Press TribuneAn original issue of a leaking roof still exists and was not remedied as agreed upon by both parties To date, JB Roofing will not address the issue other than to state the roof needs replaced I do not understand how the roof is in good condition upon initial inspection and now needs to be completely replaced for thousands of dollars more At his time, I would like my money back so that I can find a company that can fix it correctly
