I had them put a French drain put in around my house to stop water from coming into my basement they told me they were qualified and certified to perform this job, however the first day on the job they busted a natural spring that was connected to my house they stated it was capped they broke bricks on my house the membrane was put on backwards and they put the drain on my neighbors property and destroyed trees that was on her property and not to mention my yard is sinking in where they dug the ditchIm still having excessive water coming in my basement not to mention mold growing from the waterI have tried numerous times to have them fix it but I have been blocked and unable to contact themI am not seeking legal representation because it still isn't fixed to recoup mu loss not to mention my carpeting had to be ripped out because of water and mold

The job the customer is complaining of was completed in May of 2015 in Western Pennsylvania. The work included excavation of the premises and the laying of a French drain and re-grading part of the yard. As with any work of this type, the machines being used caused damage to the customer’s yard in the form of his grass being torn up. This damage is unavoidable when doing this type of work and the customer was well aware that it would happen. After the work was completed, our company spread top soil over the affected areas, planted grass seed, and covered it with mushroom manure. Contrary to the customer’s complaint, we did not just “throw down some grass seed on top of compacted dirt.” We put down good top soil before planting the seed, just as we have with any other job our company has completed. Before leaving the job, the customer remarked multiple times how pleased he was with the work we performed. The customer said he would be leaving for vacation 3 days after we completed the job. Our company clearly informed the customer that the newly planted grass would need to be watered regularly in order for it to grow. This past May was unusually hot and dry for Western Pennsylvania. The customer went on his vacation and never watered the grass. There was hardly any rain during the period after the job was completed. To no surprise, the grass did not grow in 100% because of a lack of water. Based upon pictures taken by the customer, it appears that the majority of the grass did grow in. However, the customer is dissatisfied because it did not fill in completely, due to a lack of water. Our company completed the entire job in a workmanlike manner, using methods widely accepted in our field of work. Our company has completed countless jobs and re-seeded in the same manner as this customer. Customers have always been satisfied with the result. Our company completed this job in a professional manner and properly planted grass seed as we have done many times before. We put down the top soil, seed, and manure, but we cannot control the weather. The customer was instructed on what would happen if he did not water the seed. He did not water the area and as a result, the grass did not come in fully. Our company held up our end of the deal and did all the work agreed upon. It is unfortunate that the customer is dissatisfied and felt the need to file this complaint, but we are not at fault. We did the work properly, professionally, and did everything in our power to ensure a satisfactory job.
