Dear Revdex.com, [redacted] Mr [redacted] (buyer # ***) was a participant in an online auction held 1/28/His claim to be the high bidder appears valid from his stand pointHowever the computer logs form the auction show a different outcome Bid history on lot #(enclosed) shows Mr [redacted] bid only once at 5:PM in the amount of $ approxminutes before the lot closedThe history also shows that bidder # [redacted] bid with an max/bid of $ at 2:PM almost hours earlierSince Mr [redacted] ’s computer is the only one with a red number I was unaware of the problem until he called on Friday at 2:pmAs the auctioneer at this auction I must honor the first bidder # ***I’m sorry this caused a problem for Mr [redacted] but it is too late to change buyersThis is an unfortunate situation that we are looking intoAll files and logs of the auction have been sent to the software developers for evaluationWe hope to have better answers soon.JBM Management/Auctions [redacted]

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. While what Mr*** has stated in his response appears to be somewhat true, the fact of the matter is, the bidding instructions state that the bidder whose bid appears in red is considered to be the high winning bidderNowhere in the bidding instructions does it state anything about the bid that went in first chronologically would be considered to be a winning bidThe argument that it is too late to change buyers is not a sufficient one when the decision was made by rules other than those stated in the bidding instructionsIn his response, Mr*** by his own words admits that my bid is the only one in redAs you can see by the bidding log Mr*** submitted as supporting documentation, I made several bids on this item- not one bid as he claimsWhen I bid $2600, my bid number stayed red, and I would be unable to make any further bids because the system recognized my bid as the winning oneIt is clear to me that my bid was the winning bid, and the fact that this business made a fraudulent sale on an item that was rightfully mine is borderline criminal.
Regards,

Dear Revdex.com, [redacted] Mr. [redacted] (buyer # [redacted]) was a participant in an online auction held 1/28/2015. His claim to be the high bidder appears valid from his stand point. However the computer logs form the auction show a different outcome.  Bid history on lot #16 (enclosed) shows Mr. [redacted] bid...

only once at 5:34 PM in the amount of $ 2600.00 approx. 25 minutes before the lot closed. The history also shows that bidder # [redacted] bid with an max/bid of $ 2600.00 at 2:46 PM almost 3 hours earlier. Since Mr. [redacted]’s computer is the only one with a red number I was unaware of the problem until he called on Friday at 2:27 pm. As the auctioneer at this auction I must honor the first bidder # [redacted]. I’m sorry this caused a problem for Mr. [redacted] but it is too late to change buyers. This is an unfortunate situation that we are looking into. All files and logs of the auction have been sent to the software developers for evaluation. We hope to have better answers soon.JBM Management/Auctions[redacted]
