The customer service is the worst.
I order the free trial on this product. It stated you get a 14 day free trial. They did not ship the package out on time and I was only able to try the product for 8 days. They charged my account twice. I sent emails and called multiple times to cancel. I received an email this morning about the cancelation of my account (email was sent on 8/1/18). They refused to refund my account and never sent me product for the items I paid for. I will not recommend this company to anyone.

After reviewing Ms. complaint we want to apologize for any confusion. The package you received is a full thirty day supply, we do not offer free samples. We sent you a full size bottle and allow you to try it for the 14 day trial period to see if you like it, for just the cost of shipping and handling. If you like the product after your trial, you are billed for the actual cost of the product and enrolled in a monthly subscription. The reason we send you a full 30 day supply to try is because of the overwhelming response and feedback from customers who love the product, and want to continue seeing their results. Because customer satisfaction is extremely important to us, we have refunded Ms *** for the charge of $89.92. Ms. will receive these refunds via her bank account within the next 7-10 business days along with respective email confirmations.

In the process of attempting to refund for the charge of $84.95, we encountered a system error. Ms. will receive this refund via check mailed to the address provided within the next 7-10 business days. We also can confirm that the account is in fact cancelled and she no longer receive future shipments.

We take any complaint very seriously and are deeply committed to perfecting our practices in order to provide a positive customer experience. We hope you are satisfied with our business and we want to apologize for any inconveniences this may have caused.

Signed up for a free trial that turned into a full charge and monthly subscription!
I signed up for a free trial based on supposed endorsement of Shark team. Supposed to get free sample for only shipping cost. Nowhere did I see any mention of a 14 day cancellation clause, and that if I didn't cancel within that time I was signed up for a full cost monthly subscription. Learned about this after seeing an online warning that this was a scam. When I checked, sure enough, I'd been charged full cost.. with no additional product delivery! Additionally, the product does not work as claimed. I called to cancel and get a refund. They did cancel for the future, but would only adjust 50% refund on my charges. They have made out like the bandits they are.

Desired Outcome

This business should be made to cease its false advertising, and provide a full refund.

I am requesting reimbursement for the additional $44.96 on the $89.92 charge that I was not aware would be automatically incurred if I did not cancel a subscription that I did not know I had created.

No, I am not satisfied. On 10/26/18 I received a response from the business stating in part: "Ms. will receive this refund via check mailed to the address provided within the next 7-10 business days." As of Nov 20, 2018, I have not received this check, so this matter is NOT resolved._

Product trial is not advertised correctly. Bait and switch advertising that ends up in a subscription you have to cancel.
I ordered a trial product for the price of shipping and handling. There was no information provided that I had 14 days to try the product or 30 days to return it. After the 14 days there were additional charges to my credit card for exorbitant costs that were never disclosed to me. I am very careful about offers like this and would have never ordered the product if this information was available to me.

I called the company (JBL*JCBeauty) that is listed on my credit card charge and told them that the product had not been touched/opened and I was not informed of their supposed terms and I wanted the charges removed immediately from my account. I would be happy to ship the product back if they wanted me to. They said that they could only process a 30% refund. I explained that I considered their practices to be a bait and switch scam that needed to be stopped immediately.

Desired Outcome

I expect the full charges to be removed in the amount of $174.90. I would also expect that the company be required to make their terms and conditions more readily available so that other unsuspecting consumers are not duped by their practices.

I wanted to file a complaint regarding the advertising done on Facebook by this company. It was to me very misleading and vague.
The Facebook advertisement offered a free trial size face cream if you agree to pay only the shipping. I agreed to the cost of shipping but not to a membership with this beauty company. Within two or three weeks my credit card was charged one payment of 89.92 and another payment of 84.95. My credit card company informed me that these would be recurring payments. I filed a dispute with my credit card company. I just think that the advertisement on Facebook needs to be more clear. I think that the consumer should be made aware of the fact that they are enrolling in a costly membership by requesting for a sample of this cream. Maybe prior to entering their credit card information a flashing notice or an alert in red can come across the screen informing the consumer of the specific terms, this is not a free trial. You are actually agreeing to a membership with this company. The advertisement is very misleading and the Terms of this purchase are not bold enough to be noticed by the consumer.

Desired Outcome

The customer service representative I spoke with today at JC Beauty rep #*** did agree to cancel my membership. My dispute is ongoing with my credit card company. If for any reason my credit card company cannot refund me the payments of 89.92 and 84.95, I would like for JC Beauty to refund the money. I received only my free sample. I have not received any additional products from JC Beauty. And I do not want any new products from JC Beauty.

On Jan. 31, 2018 I ordered a trial size of beauty cream ($4.99) and eye serum ($4.95), no where obvious did I see what the amount of the products would be nor did I get an idea of a trial period. Due to the lack of transparency in their website, I would like for them to refund my debit card the amounts of $89.92 (beauty cream) and $84.95 (eye serum) after I cancelled my account via email. I have emailed a cancellation notice 3 separate times, requested a notification of this action and received no contact at all. To find the terms and conditions one had to dig through their website. While I somewhat blame myself for not being a savvy shopper, I did cancel the service only to notice they they charged by debit card any way. I have tried to call the only number listed for them and receive nothing but a busy signal.

I would like for them to refund my debit card the amounts of $89.92 and $84.95 after I cancelled my account via email, and I would like written confirmation of the cancelled account.

This company purposefully misleads consumers regarding their "free trial" which is actually a free trial period. Then double charges for the product.
I purchased the free trial 11/5/17 (only charge being shipping). Was charged at that time for an additional product I did not authorize. I called and had that taken off immediately. Now on my credit card statement I have 2 charges 1 for 89.92 on 11/20 and another for the same product but with a different name on 11/21 for 84.95. I did not have knowledge of these charges. I called to dispute the charges with them company and the operator was clearly well versed in receiving these calls. She defended that the information was on the website. She gave me the cryptic web address and the home screen is clearly deceptive. You only get the details by clicking on the terms and conditions. Only after threatening to file a complaint did she agree to turn off my subscription and refund 50% of the charges.
That leave me still paying for product I did not receive (the second charge) and paying more than I was lead to believe. This business needs to be shut down.

I desire a full refund.

I have now resolved the issue with the company directly and they have issued me a full refund. Thank you for pursuing. I do believe the company is utilizing deceptive tactics.

I have sent 3 emails to [email protected] to cancel this subscription and I have yet to receive a response.
credit billed: 09-19-2017 for $89.92 by JCB*jcbeautycream 09-20-2017 for $84.95 by JBL*jcbeautyeyeserum. 10-19-2017 $94.91 by JCB*jcbeautycream 10-20-2017 @89.90. I have sent 3 emails to [email protected] and have not received a reply. I requested an email to be sent to me when the cancellation was completed. I supplied my name, address, phone and email address. I specified they do not have my consent to bill my credit card for any additional products and that I wanted to cancel this subscription. I have also filed a complaint with my credit union Security Plus. The subject line of the last two emails read CANCEL CANCEL CANCEL. Please help me to get this cancelled before they bill me again!

Desired Outcome

I'll eat the currently billed transactions due to shear stupidity on my part. I want the subscription terminated and I want the company to email they have complied. In addition, if any further charges are made to my credit card, I want a refund.

After numerous emails attempts to contact JC Beauty, I finally called customer service and cancelled the order. A few days later I contacted them again to verify the subscription was indeed cancelled. It appears to have been resolved. I am monitoring my credit card to ensure additional charges from this company are not applied.
