We are set to meet at 4:today Mr [redacted] blamed this whole situation the lack of JC Roof Construction to resolve this issue in a amicable fashion MR [redacted] (The customer has complained in several different ways The conversation was that the customer offered to meet here in Austin and then changed to come to his residence in the AM The end result is to meet today at 4: All negotiations for paint color and manufacturer is a pre contract communication The manufacturer of the product directly effects the bottom line for contract costing This is what was communicated to The customer when things fell apart I (***) clearly explained this We contracted, and delivered paint samples as requested by the customer The power washing was started and stopped because our sub-contractor did not perform that step in the process twice The customer assumed that it was completed but that was not the case I assured the customer that the power washing would be concluded prior to elastomeric application We attempted to contact the customer by phone as well as going by the residence for resolution but he was on vacation We have been more than anxious to resolve this and will make every effort to today at 4:

The following are the reasons that we have no resolution:1. Breach of contract due to non payment that would be made no later than Tuesday 6.28.2016, with a expectation as early as 6.25.2016. On the morning of the customer told the owner of JC Roof Construction that he would not be making payment as of yet.2. The damage claim was never verified by the company. The owner saw no evidence of sagging sheetrock and no water spots in the ceiling at all. 3. The client was extremely belligerent both over the telephone and in person with the crew, the project manager and the owner.4. The customers demands for the complete ceiling and walls to be replaced with no signs of delamination is ridiculous. The owner of JC Roof Construction sent the materials back to the supplier because the customer was being extremely belligerent, was not paying and was fraudulent in the claim of damage.Management,JC Roof COnstruction

We (JC Roof Construction) was hired by Mr*** ***, With contract execution pending a promise to pay NLT (no later than) Tuesday June 28th, 2016. We ordered material for delivery with a roof load date of June 29th, 2016. Mr*** requested that the roof would or could be
installed NLT June 30th, (with urgency). His urgency was defined as the house being on the market to sale on that date. We began removing the roof on Tuesday June 28th to accommodate the 30th finish date required by the customer. A storm moved in that evening, with the roof dried in with the adequate felt. We received a call from the Mr***, that his roof was leaking. We sent the roof installer back over the property to access the situation, felt coverage and interior damage. The installer observed no interior damage at that point (Mr*** became extremely belligerent with him). We spoke to Mr*** and let him know that we (management) would access the damage communicate to us first thing in the morning. The owner On June 29th , 2016, the owner of JC Roof Construction personally went to the property to access the damage for recovery. He observed no interior damage what so ever. Mr*** became Belligerent-requesting that his ceiling be replaced. Mr*** refused to pay any of his promise to pay, and expected the company continue to work, facing a fraudulent claim of damage. At this point, the owner sent the delivery truck(with materials) back to the roofing supplier for re-stocking. The owner of JC Roof Construction, communicated that the company had removed approximately sqftof shingles, which were in the installers trailer. The owner also communicated that the company will not continue work under these conditions(fraudulent claim coupled with the failed promise to pay). The owner also communicated that he voided any contract when he failed his promise to pay. We JC Roof Construction, had and have every intention to deal all customers to the very best of our abilities

I am rejecting this response because:On an email dated 6/we advised payment would be made in full but we were waiting in insurance funds to post and wire transfer to be completedI left Mr*** a message the day prior to install requesting a call back to obtain the necessary info for the wireHe did indeed call back and it was a kind conversationHe advised his crew would be there "first thing in the morning"I obtained the checking account number and routing number and the conversation endedI contacted the bank to initiate the wire when I realized they asked for information I had not obtained from Mr*** such as the exact name on the account and the address of the financial institution and receiverI immediately called him back and had to leave a messageThe next day, his crew showed up lateThey did not arrive as promised between 7am and 8am but arrived at That day Mr*** never once called me back with the needed information for the wire transfer despite my request and good faith effortThat evening, his crew departed as thunderstorms rolled in with our roof exposed and untarpedYes, there was damage! We walked the crew, who finally returned despite repeated pleas, into the attic to show them water penetrating, wet insulation and sagging SheetrockIn the front interior room we had a bucket collecting gallons of water and wet towels trying to protect the newly installed carpetAll of this was filmed and photographed by my husbandIf needed, I will gladly provide that proofMr*** was unwilling to accept responsibility for damages caused and willing to make it "right" instead of just fixing it cosmeticallyWe are selling our home and cannot in good faith pass that alongWalking off the job, failure to return calls and make arrangements and common sense were all within his control which escalated this situationWe want it made right and the company held accountable for the problem created by their lack of planning and forsightShouldn't the weather be checked and preparations made to prevent an exposed roof from damage? If the crew packed up to leave due to impending weather as my husband returned home, why did they not secure tarps? These are common sense questions that are still unansweredWe await their response and have photos and video evidence proving the damage that evening.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: This is Unacceptable! No physical work was done by anyone from ** Roof Construction and they purchased NOTHING for our job. To date we are still out our $3,470.00 deposit. We did cancel our contract due to work being put off for several weeks and NOTHING getting done. Mr. [redacted] through several text messages said he would refund our money, but would not meet with us to give us a cashier’s check, and after 7 months still nothing except changing his story and more excuses.
Regards,

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
I just called Mr. [redacted], as he asked. He was abusive on the phone, cursing at me and refusing to listen to or deal with the problems.  Further, I asked him for our money back and he threatened me with a...

lawsuit.
Further he claimed that the first he had seen or heard of this problem was yesterday, and that we were totally to blame for their failure to communicate with us.
He asked what I wanted - I said, I wanted my money back. After over 5 mins of being cursed at, he finally said he would give us back "what we had coming" and demanded when we would be available. I told him I would be available at 8:00am tomorrow at my home. He complained about that. Then I offered to meet him in Austin at my work location, today at 4:30pm. He yelled fine and hung up, but neglected to get the address here in Austin. The call record for the phone call is attached.
This is a totally unsatisfactory way to deal with a situation like this. At no time did Mr. [redacted] agree to return any specific amount of our money, and the abuse he leveled at me on the phone was both loud and antagonistic.
We want to settle the matter by getting our money back from these people, and we will not negotiate when being foully cursed at.
Regards,
[redacted]

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
Note please, that Mr. [redacted] version of this incident is not accurate.
When I called them in accordance with their earlier response to this complaint, it was as I said in my earlier response. I was cursed at, yelled at, and other verbal abuse, ending with Mr. [redacted] slamming down the phone. Mr [redacted] later called and acted as if he did not understand why I was still less than satisfied. We agreed to meet at 4:30 at my work place. Mr [redacted] was polite when we met, Mr. [redacted] sat in his truck and glared at me the entire time, not speaking a single word. This is probably the best that could be asked for.
In simple truth, Mr. [redacted] and Mr. [redacted] are not compatible with the way we do business. I will not be bullied by any contractor. Advised yes. Bullied no. And that is especially true in this case, I will not put out  thousands of dollars for a second or even third rate job.
(1) Mr. [redacted] told me the pressure wash person left because they were "disgusted" they could not paint the same day. And my wife reports that the contractor was rude to her when she would not give him money or tell him what colors we wanted the house painted. I believe my wife.
First off, we would not have allowed them to paint the same day they pressure washed the house in any case, as we would need to inspect the pressure wash job before proceeding *and* the surfaces need to dry before applying paint. And secondly, the pressure wash job they did was far too poor to allow them to paint at all. It took the second contractor we hired >six hours< to properly pressure wash the house.
(2) We were very clear we did not want them to paint until we choose the correct colors. Mr. [redacted] was adamant in explaining that he would not allow us to buy the paint or specify exactly what paint we wanted to us. Nor would he ever supply us with the brand of the paint he intended to use. When we asked them to deliver a sample of the paint they wanted to use, they delivered standard samples of Valspar paint, not the special kind of paint they wanted to use. We really wanted to see the exact paint going on our house to determine how it would look. Mr. [redacted] and Mr. [redacted] loudly complained that they didn't have time to obtain a sample of the paint, not could they afford to. We did not ask them to pay for samples, we asked them to tell us the brand name so we could obtain samples on our own.
(3) Neither Mr. [redacted] nor Mr. [redacted] consulted us on how we wanted the painting down, trim color, around the doors, architectural features, etc.
(4) I specifically told Mr. [redacted] we were not trying to "beat him out of any money" and that we would relieve him of the burden of the paint costs. All other contractors we talked to were agreeable to that, and some even offered to go with us to buy the paint for us and use their contractor's discount. The *exact* paint we wanted, from the paint supplier we choose.
Mr. [redacted] returned $1000 of my $1,350 deposit. I will accept that, though I do not think Mr. [redacted] and Mr. [redacted] earned the $350 they pocketed from this misadventure. I will treat it as a lesson learned and from now on never pay contractors in cash or pay substantial deposits.  I would still advise anyone thinking of contracting with this company to not move forward until they are absolutely sure that both sides understand what is expected.

We (JC Roof Construction) have resolved this issue with the customer.

We are set to meet at 4:30 today.  Mr. [redacted] blamed this whole situation the lack of JC Roof Construction to resolve this issue in a amicable fashion.  MR. [redacted] (The customer has complained in several different ways.  The conversation was that the customer offered to meet here in Austin and then changed to come to his residence in the AM.  The end result is to meet today at 4:30.  All negotiations for paint color and manufacturer is a pre contract communication.  The manufacturer of the product directly effects the bottom line for contract costing.  This is what was communicated to The customer when things fell apart.  I ([redacted]) clearly explained this.  We contracted, and delivered paint samples as requested by the customer.  The power washing was started and stopped because our sub-contractor did not perform that step in the process twice.  The customer assumed that it was completed but that was not the case.  I assured the customer that the power washing would be concluded prior to elastomeric application.  We attempted to contact the customer by phone as well as going by the residence for resolution but he was on vacation.  We have been more than anxious to resolve this and will make every effort to today at 4:30.
