The initial check we received on 4/10/15 was in the amount of $748.00. He transposed the last two digits on the renewal premium invoice. The error in this check resulted in a balance due of $36.00. His second payment of $20 arrived in our office on 4/21/15.After several telephone conversations with company personnel and e-mails between [redacted] and myself, the J. C. Taylor Agency and [redacted] have agreed to reinstatement of his policy with no lapse in coverage, and to waive the additional $36.00 premium due for the 3/12/15 to 3/12/16 policy term. I sent in an application and check on 10/1/15 for insurance coverage on a vehicle I recently purchased. After numerous exchanges with the company and completing the same request 3 times over, I heard nothing from the company. I e-mailed the company weekly asking to confirm coverage and heard nothing. I also called the company and continuously received voice mail, upon which I left messages and received no response. After six weeks (11/23/15), I called the owner Robert W[redacted] and spoke with him personally regarding my experience and inquiring whether I had coverage or not. He advised that the reason I hadn't been receiving responses from the customer service was that he had been out for the last few days. I indicated that this had been going on for six weeks, he then asked if I had completed all the paperwork, which I had done numerous times, in addition to redundant responses through e-mail. Mr. W[redacted] said he would get back to me. As of 12/4/15, I have not received a response to my e-mails and no call backs from customer service or Mr. W[redacted]. If this is how they treat people when they are trying to get their business, how do they treat them after they have their business. Will this be the same type of service I can expect if I unfortunately need to file a claim?

Review: Purchased car insurance on 7/8/14 for $ 244. Received cancellation notice on 9/18/14. When I called them they said they needed two more papers which I emailed the the address they gave me. On 11/3/14 I received a check for $76.80. I called on 11/6/14 when asked to speak to customer relations, disconnected. I called back and spoke to a representative and was disconnected again. A company with my address, phone numbers and email address should be able to contact a customer with something besides cancellation notices. But if they can make $167.20 for providing nothing.Desired Settlement: I would like my money back, and to not deal with them again.

Review: After many years of insurance coverage provided by this agent, I discovered that one of my vintage vehicle was indeed not covered (no passenger in a sidecar??) and decided to cancel my policy. This was made on November 21st 2014. In spite of numerous emails I still not have received reimbursement for this policy.

A complaint has been made to the California insurance Commissioner regarding the refusal of coverage and the delay in reimbursement.Desired Settlement: Refund+ explanation on how a passenger can be not covered in a sidecar
