Wrong size shower door and shower floor needs to be replaced. Paid $17,000 for a bathroom that is not complete. He promised to fix everything, but has not responded to us. Also took tools of ours that have not been returned. Took a box of heirlooms including stamps of significant value and said he burned them because they were water damaged. He had no right to take our belongings!!

I am aware that there is an issue with the shower door and the tile on the shower floor. I have contactedthe homeowner on numerous occasions to make necessary repairs. Currently, I am still willing toperform the work necessary to rectify the situation by scheduling a date to perform the work that fitsboth of our schedules. I take serious customer satisfaction and I would like to get this taken care of in atimely manner.

Regarding belongs that Mr. said were taken from the residence: During the remodel that tookplace in the basement he had asked me to clean out and dispose of things in the backroom of thebasement. When doing so anything that was salvageable, I set aside in a box and left in the room.Everything else was disposed of. When Mr. text me on 2/5/20 asking for certain items from thatroom I apologized and let him know they had been disposed of. I was at no time told to save certainitems but took it upon myself to set anything that was salvageable to the side.

On 2/6/20 I messaged him and let him know that I may have a few of his screwdriver and a 4’’ mudknife. He never let me know if they were his so I can only assume that they are. He never mentioned anymissing tools to me or responded when I brought these items to his attention.

On 2/21/20 I let him know that I had the weekend available to perform the corrections necessary, heresponded “we’ll gonna go ahead and move on...been long enough and the only fix is a new door..whichu don’t wanna do and being ur mistake...but I’ll take care of it and the floor...I’ll chalk it up for a loss andmove forward”. I responded with an apology, admitting that yes, it is in fact my mistake and that I wouldstill like to make it right and that he could think about it. He said either way he was going out of town forvacation and that he would see. I have yet to hear from him.

Again, I am willing to make the corrections and would like to do so. I would like to schedule a date withMr. that will work for the both of us and make the corrections needed.

Sincerely,John G

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 14161041, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

We did give the contractor several chances to correct the shower door and all he proceeded to do with add strips of plastic as you can see in the attached photos. We spent $650 which was $689 including tax for a custom made shower door and that is what we expected. We told him we wanted another door ordered since he got the measurements wrong. That was not done. As you can see in the attached photos the stones are coming up in the shower floor. It started with just pieces of grout and now it is actual stones. We had to have a plumber here yesterday to replace the broken seal on the toilet since it was leaking. The plumber stated that the contractor who installed the toilet put a broken seal and and then tried to put another seal on top of it, thus causing the leak. I have also attached a photo of the window frame the contractor installed. With the cold weather we had, we had to put pieces of tissue in the casing in order for the cold air to not come into the bathroom. This also was not installed correctly. In response to the items taken from the residence, the contractor was verbally told not to touch any of the cook books or recipes of my wife's grandmother. Of course since it was a verbal request I have no proof. The contractor and I both know what were in those bags. Hope he made out good on selling them. As far as having this contractor come over and correct these issues, I do not want that. There is no way I want the person who did this initially back to "correct" when I have no confidence that it will be corrected. We will pay another contractor to correct these issues.

Regards
