I would not recommend this builder to anyone. I will detail here my experience with this company and let any readers be the judge. Jerry Pounds Construction built my neighbors home. I assess that the low-emissivity windows in that construction have subsequently melted the vinyl siding on my home. I have tried for nearly two years to resolve this issue with Jerry Pounds Construction and they have done nothing except delay, deny, threaten, counter-accuse, pretend to care, and finally ignore my issue according to the following timeline.

May 28th 2014, we contact Jerry Pounds Construction regarding the siding damage.

June 22nd 2014, we contact Jerry Pounds Construction to remind them that we have not received a response.

June 27th 2014, we contact Jerry Pounds Construction to remind them that we still have not received a response.

June 30th 2014, we receive a response from JPC Inc. stating that they build houses to code, and our report is the first they have heard about Low-E windows causing damage.

July 1st 2014, we respond stating that Low-E damage is a common issue and request a meeting in person to address the issue.

July 6th 2014, after no response we again request a meeting.

July 11th 2014, we receive a reponse asking us to contact the siding manufacturer and ask them to come inspect the house in order to provide a statement assigning blame for the damage. JPC refuses to come inspect the damage, although we later find out that they had covertly done so.

July 14th 2014, we give the courtesy of a response informing JPC Inc that we are complying with their request.

July 16th 2014, we inform JPC Inc of that siding claims process and our phone conversation with the siding company.

Aug 1st 2014, we inform JPC that the result of the claims process shows that the damage has been caused by heat distortion (thogh the company would not formally pinpoint a source due to legal concerns). We also request a meeting for the third time, and ask to know what the window manufacturer told JPC.

Aug 7th 2014, we contact JPC Inc to request a response.

Aug 15th 2014, we receive a response from JPC Inc stating that nothing we have informed them of constitutes proof that their window is causing the damage, that similar construction hasn't had an issue, that they had covertly looked at our home without the common courtesy of actually meeting us (something that we had requested 3 times), and subtly threatening legal action for libel in the case of accusations to third parties.

Aug 16th, 2014. Jerry Pounds tells me that if I can positively demonstrate that the windows in my neighbor's home are causing the damage he will take appropriate action to fix it.

At this point, I have to wait a couple of months. The damage only happens in the fall and winter months, so I have to wait for that time of year to prove conclusively what is happening.

October 17th, 2014. I tell Jerry that the damage is happening and he can come see it for himself and feel the heat with his own hands.

October 27th 2014. We are told Jerry Pounds will be gone for 3 weeks and get back to us later.

December 3rd, 2014. Five weeks later we still haven't heard anything. We attempt to contact Jerry Pounds again.

January 9th, 2015. Jerry responds by telling us who made our neighbors windows. He ignores his earlier promise to resolve the issue if we could demonstrate what was causing it.

January 14th, 2015. Another attempt to reach Jerry Pounds is ignored.

February 19th, 2015. I again remind Jerry of his promise to fix this issue. It is again ignored.

In February 2015, my neighbor got involved with JPC and told them he wasn't happy with his windows and wanted them replaced. They told him they would do so. It has now been a year, the windows are not replaced, JPC has dragged their feet and delayed for that whole year, and they are now telling my neighbor that he has to pay to replace the windows himself.

In summary,
- There was no damage to my siding form 2008 to 2013.
- Following the construction of my neighbor's home by JPC Inc, the siding facing the low-e windows on that home received damage from heat distortion.
- The heat distortion neatly fits a pattern that is associated with damage caused by low-e windows.
- My vinyl siding manufacturer certified that the damage from heat distortion was not due to a defect in the siding.
- JPC Inc interactions are reflected in the above timeline.

During my interactions with JPC from July 2014 - February 2015 I was deployed to the Middle East and my wife was pregnant. During that time, Jerry covertly visited my home and threatened my family for speaking up about this issue.

I have pictures of the damage and have saved my email interactions with JPC if anyone is interested in that information. You be the judge on this company's character and customer service.

I should have backed out when they talked to sellers realtor.

4/21/2014 : My furnace blew up. Apparently we had gas leak all this time and we didn't know about it. We just found out, the gas tube was busted and it was repaired (taped / glued) few years before we purchased. There were burn marks on front cover of the furnace so it was being heated for long time. My kids have been having headache for few weeks before furnace blew up. This should have never passed the inspection. THIS GUYS ARE TOTALLY NOT RELIABLE AND SELLOUTS.

Review: I ordered the film" Finding Faith" January 14,2014 thru their on line web site following a recommendation of a VA Conference United Methodist leader. This was billed to my credit card account on Jan. 20,2014 and to date I have not received the product. I have spoken with the president on Feb. 10 or 11 and he assured me he would personally mail me the v nDVD. Subsequently I have made several attempts via phone (###-###-####) and my calls are not returned.Desired Settlement: Product delivered ASAP
