I was paid percent more than my asking price as a tip because this job took hours instead of the two it should have because the sink was glued to the countertop and took extreme care and a great deal of time to unglueThe percent overpay was an unsolicited tip because this customer saw the work and time involved I charged for an all day job, I did not raise my price as I should have when the situation became obvious and was beyond the scope of the original work, and this job should have been billed at four times what it cost the customer However I stuck to the original bid and completed the work for an already incredibly low price The damage the customer speaks of was due to the glue and was no fault of mine When the countertops were installed there were some flaws in the granite sink cutout that the installer repaired by mixing some type of epoxy with some granite dust and packing the mixture into the chips made by his saw They were not caused by me I suggested the name of a countertop guy who MAY be able to redo a similar repair on the new basin, and I offered to pay for it out of the kindness of my heart Upon describing the issue to this person I thought might be able to do some sort of fix, He stated that he does not do that sort of thing and declined the jobI am not willing to pay any other company to don a repair which was not caused by me and could easily surpass the cost of the entire job That is unfair and the customer is not being reasonableRegarding the gasket she makes reference to, I have been back to this job and the issue has been corrected If this customer would like to pursue the issue in a court of law I suggest she do so.Rob's PlumbingI was paid percent more than my asking price as a tip because this job took hours instead of the two it As stated by the Business We at Rob's Plumbing strive for percent customer satisfaction Regarding the customer complaint logged against Rob's Plumbing, our response is as follows: We had the slab leak repaired within six hours of the initial call We saved the customer because we do our own leak detection Our price of is less than half the going rate for slab leak repairs The customer was upset that we could not fill the inch diameter hole in the slab immediately, however it is standard practice to NOT immediately refill the concrete, and observe the repair area for hours for additional leaks in the area We told the customer this before doing any work This customer called our office well over times in hours knowing the hole was to remain open The customer paid one half the bill, and to date has not paid the remainder, instead accusing us of flooding his house-absurd because we did not and we certainly would have been sued by him if we had We did nothing of the sort We have been forced to file action in superior court to collect the money owed us

Complaint: I am rejecting this response because: Rob said that he would be done in six hoursHe patched the pipe and at around pm he said he was going to get a bag of concrete and never returnedI had already paid him $in cashThe next day after various attempts from me to contact him he replied and stated that he was doing repair some place else and that he would return to my home in the afternoonI kept calling and apparently he did not liked it and curse at me on the phoneAt that point I told him not to return to my home, that he was no longer welcome Regards, D [redacted]

The faucet was already repaired I did not damage any granite, I only tried to arrange the repairwith another contractor I know If he did not co ntact the customer He may be to busy on vacation etc The customer did not suffer any loss due to service provided by my Company,
on the contrary she was provided an outstanding price for an extremely difficult job and this complaint is , in our opinion invalid We recommend the customer google "granite counter top installation " for the contact info of a qualified repair tech to repair granite damage, which was not caused in any way by anything done by myself or Rob's Plumbing All I am guilty of is trying to provide toe name of the granite guy , which I am sorry I did and now regret

Complaint:
I am rejecting this response because: I was told that a part was ordered (gasket) and that he would return to install it. 'My calls were never answered and the gasket was not replaced. I was also told that someone would contact me regarding the granite. I did not blame anyone for damage but expected that there would be follow-through considering he was paid 33% more than his asking price. I just want the service that was promised--the gasket replaced and help painting/repairing the granite

I am rejecting this response because: Rob said that he would be done in six hours. He patched the pipe and at around 6 pm he said he was going to get a bag of concrete and never returned. I had already paid him $300 in cash. The next day after various attempts from me to contact him he replied and stated that he was doing repair some place else and that he would return to my home in the afternoon. I kept calling and apparently he did not liked it and curse at me on the phone. At that point I told him not to return to my home, that he was no longer welcome.

As stated by the Business.  We at Rob's Plumbing strive for 100 percent customer satisfaction.  Regarding the customer complaint logged against Rob's Plumbing, our response is as follows:  We had the slab leak repaired within six hours of the initial call.  We saved the...

customer 250.00 because we do our own leak detection.  Our price of 500.00 is less than half the going rate for slab leak repairs.  The customer was upset that we could not fill the 12 inch diameter hole in the slab immediately, however it is standard practice to NOT immediately refill the concrete, and observe the repair area for 48 hours for additional leaks in the area.  We told the customer this before doing any work.  This customer called our office well over 100 times in 24 hours knowing the hole was to remain open.  The customer paid one half the bill, and to date has not paid the remainder, instead accusing us of flooding his house-absurd because we did not and we certainly would have been sued by him if we had.  We did nothing of the sort.  We have been forced to file action in superior court to collect the money owed us.

This customer called Rob's Plumbing and contracted with us to locate and repair a leak from an unknown source which was causing water to puddle outside the home.  Rob's Plumbing began troubleshooting and attempting repairs when the customer broke the contract and advised us not to return....

The customer had paid 200.00 approximately 4 hours after work had begun for a regulator and some other minor parts which  remained on the job in his possession.  Our stance is as follows:  The customer broke the contract 8 hours into the job, and owes us for the work done thus far.  The money which was given to us for materials was used for that purpose and the customer retained those materials which were purchased by Rob's Plumbing for the customer.  They were necessary for the work to proceed.  They were retained by the customer.  The customer wishes his money be refunded, which we are happy to do to the extent we are able as some of the material was used in troubleshooting and attempting to locate this leak.  We are happy to forward the receipt for the materials or attempt to return what can be returned once we have secured possession of those materials.  However, we cannot return what we do not have.  Rob's Plumbing followed standard industry protocols and procedure in attempting to locate and repair this leak.  The leak emerged many feet from its source, and was well hidden behind drywall and structural members.  It could not be heard using sound amplification methods as it was not large enough to provide a sound signature.  The customer broke the contract in the middle of the job, and owes us for 9 hours of troubleshooting.  The total owed to us is 900.00.  If the customer would like us to attempt to return any unused material we are happy to do so.
